Teddi Mellencamp has shared the next step in her brain cancer battle.

The 43-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is now undergoing immunotherapy.

Cancer treatment called immunotherapy empowers the body’s immune system to combat cancer by boosting its capacity to identify and eliminate cancerous cells. This is achieved by activating or amplifying the immune system’s natural defenses against cancer.

She mentioned that it was the first day of her immunotherapy treatment, which she undergoes once every three weeks. As she lounged in a chair wearing a gray top, tubes were attached to her arms.

Additionally, the beloved figure from reality TV will undergo radiation treatment, which is a form of cancer care that employs high-frequency energy beams to harm and eliminate cancerous cells.

Teddi shared the news on her Insta Stories. 

She mentioned that starting the following week, she will begin radiation therapy, which she will undergo every day. She’s hoping for an 8 am schedule to avoid any conflicts with her podcast.

Following her session at the therapist’s office, she was found resting comfortably on rose-hued linens in bed, expressing, “I must say, I’m rather relieved it’s done. Overall, it wasn’t too terrible, but the final twenty minutes were quite challenging.

As a steadfast follower, I shared that the sudden wave of queasiness has settled in, yet here I am, having persevered. The initial treatment is behind me now, and I’m optimistic about feeling prepared for work tomorrow. In fact, I plan to hit the hay at 6 am, so fingers crossed, I’ll wake up as lively as a morning bloom.

The following morning, she wakes up even before dawn, heading towards her home gym situated by the swimming pool for a session of hot yoga. Upon arrival, she discovers her son, Cruz, who has already started his boxing routine within the gym.

In her latest upload, she’s seen wearing an Eberje robe while expressing gratitude towards the person who gifted her a ‘comfortable and scrumptious surprise.’

Teddi Arroyave shares her life with her partner, Edwin Arroyave, and they have three kids together: Slate (age 12), Cruz (age 10), and Dove (age 4). In addition to these children, Teddi is also the stepmother to Bella, Edwin’s daughter from a previous relationship, who is 15 years old.

She has already undergone emergency brain surgery.

A mother of three has publicly shared her health struggles following the discovery of brain tumors by doctors in February after enduring weeks of intense headaches. More recently, she posted an honest account of getting staples out of her skull.

It also comes as she continues to navigate the fallout from her split with estranged husband Edwin.

On the previous Wednesday, Teddi publicly addressed her health concerns for the first time. She shared that medical professionals have discovered additional tumors in her brain, indicating that her battle is far from over.

In simpler terms, she shared a photo taken at the hospital where she’s currently staying, showing her bald head after shaving it, as well as an image of her tumors obtained through scanning.

She expressed her heartfelt appreciation on Instagram for the remarkable surgeons, doctors, and nursing staff whose skillful work turned her surgery into a triumph and eased her post-surgery healing journey.

To provide complete openness, the surgery resulted in the removal of four tumors instead of the anticipated amount. Although the battle isn’t completely over, this particular skirmish has been successfully navigated.

I am deeply grateful for the joy, encouragement, and understanding that my children, family, and dearest friends offer me – a gift that often escapes the boundaries of what words can truly convey.

Moving forward with my treatment plan, I simply wanted to express my gratitude to everyone for the overwhelming support, love, and prayers. They are not unnoticed; they play a significant role in keeping me resilient.

Teddi underwent emergency surgery last month to remove recently-discovered brain tumors.

In a post on Instagram, Teddi disclosed that she had discovered tumors after enduring intense and disabling headaches for several weeks.

Today, a former Bravo star disclosed her plan to undergo surgery to remove two larger tumors. Smaller tumors will be treated with radiation at a later time.

Three short years after Teddi bravely shared her Stage II melanoma diagnosis, I found myself stunned and heartbroken as I learned about her battle against a different foe – brain tumors.

She has undergone a total of sixteen procedures to remove the melanomas.

Although the specific kind of tumor found isn’t specified yet, it’s important to note that skin cancer may metastasize (spread) to the brain, resulting in what are called brain metastases.

Over the past few weeks, Teddi has been struggling with intense and disabling headaches. She shared that the pain became so unmanageable yesterday it necessitated a hospital visit.

Following both a CT and an MRI examination, medical professionals discovered numerous brain tumors, suggesting that they had been developing for around half a year or more.

Today, we’ll be performing surgeries to remove two of the tumors. The smaller ones will be treated with radiation at a later time.

I’m grateful for the loving support of my kids, relatives, friends, medical professionals like doctors, nurses, and surgeons, who are tirelessly working towards my recovery and restoring my well-being.

Following the unexpected surgery of Teddi, I’ve learned from a reliable source that the pending divorce between her and Edwin has been temporarily put on hold, as of now.

Currently, Edwin is prioritizing his partner’s recuperation, and the topic of divorce has been put aside for the time being. It’s not something they are considering anymore. What he’s worried about instead is her wellbeing.

The source mentioned, ‘The operation went well, and she’s anticipated to go back to the house she resided in with Edwin and their trio of kids. They plan to aid Teddi in her recovery.’

Immediately following his procedure, Edwin posted on social media expressing that he’d rarely witnessed Teddi in such intense discomfort.

He penned down, ‘For now, all I can share is that the surgery went smoothly. To be clear, I’ve never witnessed Teddi Mellencamp in such distress. She’s currently taking some well-deserved rest. I am confident she is deeply appreciative of the warmth and love everyone has shown.’
