Teddi Mellencamp’s Ex Reveals Heartbreaking Update After Her Brain Surgery

Edwin Arroyave posted a worrying health report about his ex-wife, Teddi Mellencamp, who underwent surgery to remove several brain tumors.

On a Thursday, the 47-year-old business owner, head of Skyline Security Management, addressed queries from numerous individuals concerning the wellbeing of the 43-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills celebrity.

In his recent Instagram Story post, Arroyave simply stated that the operation appeared to have gone smoothly.

He added: ‘To put it simply, I’ve rarely seen Teddi Mellencamp look as distressed. At last, she’s managing to find some much-needed peace. I can assure you she is deeply appreciative of all the affection shown to her.’

On a Wednesday post on her Instagram account, Mellencamp shared a heartbreaking health update, disclosing that multiple tumors were discovered in her brain after a prolonged fight against skin cancer.

Prior to undergoing an emergency operation to excise two of her larger tumors, Teddi was paid a visit by her family members and dear friends.

Additionally, Edwin hastened to the hospital to stand by Teddi, and their children quickly offered her support just before the operation.

Despite being in the process of divorcing, it seems that the former partners maintain a friendly relationship.

On my beloved Instagram feed, I couldn’t help but gaze upon a snapshot that Arroyave graciously posted. There, amidst the digital sea of images, was a heart-stopping moment capturing Arroyave and none other than Mellencamp. In this image, Mellencamp was peacefully reclining on a hospital bed, with Arroyave standing by his side. As an ardent admirer, I could hardly believe my eyes!

She raised her arm, placing it on the nape of his neck while he reciprocated by resting his hand on her shoulder.

In the title, Arroyave penned: ‘Please mend me, Oh Lord, and I will find recovery; rescue me, and I will be safe, as you are my source of admiration.’

Dear God, I present Teddi Mellencamp to You. You are the Mighty Healer, and I humbly request that You bestow Your healing grace upon her.

Rejuvenate her power, revitalize her soul, and make her sense Your soothing companionship. Bestow upon her tranquility, optimism, and complete healing. In the name of Jesus, so it be.” He finished off.

Edwin also shared a short clip to his Instagram stories which featured their youngest child Dove. 

He recorded her saying, “Dad, will you be staying here?” To which he responded, “Yes, this is my bed. This is where I rest.

Later, Arroyave adjusted the camera slightly to reveal that he was seated on a sofa, and his daughter inquired, ‘Will you be watching mom since she dislikes being alone?’ (or alternatively, ‘Will you keep an eye on mom as she doesn’t prefer staying alone?’)

Indeed, they’re keeping vigil by Mama,” he replied, adjusting his phone camera to capture Teddi lying in the hospital bed, encompassed by her children and dear companions.

Dove inquired, “Will she get up and turn on the television?” To which Edwin replied affirmatively, saying, “Yes, she will be watching TV.

The video ended with Arroyave saying to their youngest child, ‘Thank you for stopping by, little darling,’ to which they responded graciously, ‘You’re welcome.’

In 2011, Teddi and Edwin got married, but the celebrity revealed their unexpected separation, following 13 years of matrimony, just last November 2nd.

Shortly afterward, a source told DailyMail.com that Mellencamp was involved with his horse trainer Simon Schroeder in an alleged affair.

After the cheating scandal became public knowledge, the former Real Housewife finally spoke up about it.

Additionally, another source shared with Us Weeky that Teddi and Edwin were reportedly attending couples therapy for several years prior to their announced separation in November.

In the past few days, I’ve been reflecting deeply on the recent separation, as discussed more in-depth on The Skinny Confidential podcast earlier this month.

Edwin and I had some truly wonderful years together filled with unforgettable moments. When we first met, sparks flew and everything felt perfect. However, eventually someone else came along.

In response, she said, “I would say something like, ‘I’ll manage, I’ll tackle it, hoping to win his affection even more.’ And then children come along, and life takes its course.

It seems like you might have paused or stepped back from helping Edwin with his project when he was prepared to begin and make significant changes. However, I didn’t communicate to him that I was no longer involved. I believe not informing him about my absence may have been the issue.

Teddi shared that Arroyave was taking steps to improve themselves for the sake of their marriage. However, she confessed, ‘I believe I harbored resentment, hostility, or apprehension about opening up again, which is why I ultimately pulled away.’

After Teddi Mellencamp shared a health update this week, her friend Tamra Judge posted a picture of them on social media and wrote, ‘Let’s keep Teddi Mellencamp in our thoughts. Dear friend, I’m thinking of you.’

On their podcast, “Two T’s In a Pod,” the two hosts discussed that one of them, Teddi, will be temporarily stepping away for personal reasons related to her health.

‘I’ll allow Teddi to tell her story when she’s back,’ she said before breaking down in tears. 

Of course, “You’re aware that she deeply cherishes this podcast and desires nothing more than for us to keep recording, all the while she attends to her health.

On a Wednesday, Teddi shared on Instagram that medical examinations had discovered several brain tumors, which she’d been experiencing intense headaches due to for quite some time.

For the past few weeks, she has been experiencing extremely intense and disabling headaches. Yesterday, the pain became excruciatingly unmanageable, necessitating a hospital visit.

Following both a CT and an MRI examination, the doctors discovered numerous brain tumors that they suspect have been developing for around half a year.

Today, we’ll be performing surgery to take out two of the growths. Later on, we’ll handle the smaller ones using radiation therapy.

Instead of saying, “‘I am blessed”‘, she expressed, “I feel fortunate to be surrounded by my kids, family, friends, medical professionals like doctors, nurses, and surgeons who are tirelessly working to help improve my health.

I’d like to express my gratitude to all those who have gotten in touch, and to each person who has stood by me throughout this journey.

In another picture, it appears that Teddi is resting in a hospital bed, expressing that she’s eagerly waiting for her babies to arrive by saying, “I can hardly wait for the minutes to pass.

My father said this morning that tough challenges are given to those who can manage them effectively. Today is proving to be difficult, but I have confidence, skilled doctors by my side, and a strong belief that things will turn out well.

In another post, it appeared that Teddi’s friend was balding her head. Teddi’s comment in the caption suggested, ‘Now I just need an umbrella.’

Mellencamp, too, shared a video on her Instagram stories, counting down the minutes until her operation.

While sweeping the camera across the hospital room, Teddi showed that Kyle Richards, Morgan Wade, and her former partner Edwin Arroyave were stationed close by, with the latter seated in proximity.

In 2022, Teddi shared that she had been diagnosed with stage II melanoma, which is the deadliest type of skin cancer.

She regularly shared updates about her health journey with her followers, leading to a total of sixteen medical procedures being performed on her.
