During the first episode of the “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast, Mellencamp told her co-host Erika Jayne that she resides at Kyle’s place. She went on to mention that she was sleeping in a room they all refer to as Richard’s “glam room”.
Despite some jovial banter and a generally lighter tone, Mellencamp couldn’t hide her gratitude towards Richards and the impact she’s had on her.
When discussing his stays at Richard’s place, Mellencamp expressed gratitude by saying, “Fortunately, Kyle has allowed me to do this,” before adding, “So I simply hop over. It’s convenient. It’s hassle-free. [It] actually turns out to be quite beneficial for the children.
In this challenging situation, I can understand why she’d prefer to maintain a close bond with her kids while keeping some distance from her estranged spouse. At the same time, it’s heartwarming to see how Richards is demonstrating true friendship by offering Mellencamp a place to stay during these difficult times.
We frequently discuss various housewife cliques as if they were simply “social circles,” but it’s interesting to ponder how strong their bond remains once filming ends, particularly when the women are no longer working together for any reason.
