Teddi Mellencamp and dad John get real about burial plans as she battles Stage 4 cancer
Teddi Mellencamp has been arranging things, and her father, John Mellencamp, is pitching in with his assistance, whether she’s on board with it or not.
Yesterday, Teddi mentioned during the Tuesday episode of “Two T’s in a Pod,” that her father called 11 times consecutively. Eventually, she picked up and said, “I’m taking a bath! Give me some space to enjoy myself!

Teddi Mellencamp, a longtime ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ cast member and child of musician John Mellencamp, found herself swiftly preparing for brain surgery following persistent headaches that ultimately revealed several tumors in her system.
Previously featured on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, this former cast member was initially diagnosed with melanoma in 2022. However, subsequent scans revealed larger tumors, approximately the size of plums, in various locations including her brain, as well as smaller ones in her brain and lungs. In February, she underwent brain surgery, but just two days later, four additional small brain tumors were discovered. Her melanoma has progressed to Stage 4 and is currently affecting her brain and lungs. She believes the tumors had been growing undetected for six months to a year.
On the podcast, I mentioned, “I wanted to confirm that you’ll be part of our collective family crypt.
“Wait wait wait wait wait,” co-host Tamra Judge exclaimed. “He did not. John! No!”
Indeed, he did express his thoughts – John Mellencamp was voicing his opinion regarding his daughter’s funeral. Thus, Teddi mentioned that she inquired from him, “Where would my children be placed?” Not asking about visiting her grave, but rather seeking to know where they would reside within the mausoleum.

As a big fan of “Suits LA”, I recently noticed that John Amos played a character reminiscent of himself. And let me tell you, the NBC series honored this legendary actor in a touching way, several months after he passed away.
She said, “He suggested, ‘There will be a top five, followed by smaller zones where everyone will be interred.’ To which I responded, ‘May I have some time to consider my decision?’
She commented: “Since you’re already acting according to your own wishes, why not include them in the plan?
Teddi Mellencamp shared that it was at this point when she began expressing specific requests, such as what should be inscribed on her grave marker, assuming that such markers are indeed used in mausoleums.
The other day, someone shared a quote with me that had me laughing uncontrollably, even bringing tears to my eyes. This is a person I’m not very familiar with… he said, ‘You want to hear some good news? It was, ‘Hot girls never die.’

Music
Bobby Sherman, a popular heartthrob from the 1960s, is receiving ‘specific attention’ at home as he battles terminal cancer, according to his spouse in a recent interview. ‘Things are winding down.’
“I was like, ‘That’s going on my tombstone.’”
Besides discussing her final wishes with her music-loving father, she made it clear that she doesn’t want to end up in a state where she can’t think or act independently. She expressed her determination to resist such an outcome, but emphasized that she doesn’t wish to be left in a condition resembling being a vegetable. Her father suggested there might be some flexibility in this decision, hinting that a ‘vegetable-like’ state could be open to discussion. However, she firmly rejected this idea, questioning, “Are you saying I’d be like a cucumber?
Regardless of which path we’re taking, I believe I committed to being inside the mausoleum, and I’ve got a task lined up with my sister coming up next week. The children will follow suit shortly after.
John Mellencamp’s well-known “Pink Houses” were inspired by a mausoleum belonging to his family, which is situated in Indiana.

In a recent discussion, the actor shared insights on the audience’s reaction to Chelsea’s destiny in the final episode, delved into Chelsea’s bond with Saxon, and talked about how he and Walton Goggins envisioned their characters crossing paths.
Working on self-discipline aligns with what Teddi Mellencamp shared with Us Weekly recently, as she undergoes radiation and immunotherapy treatments.
She advised the media outlet, ‘It’s a friendly reminder to consider life insurance and creating a will early on in life. While these tasks may seem unnecessary when healthy, they become incredibly challenging if diagnosed with cancer. Ideally, one should take care of such matters before any illness arises.’
