Ted Lasso’s Brett Goldstein lands Netflix rom-com with Jennifer Lopez
As a fan who’s been following Brett Goldstein‘s career closely, I can confidently say that this man is on fire! With his latest role opposite Jennifer Lopez in “Office Romance” and co-writing credits to boot, it seems like there’s no stopping him. And let’s not forget about the stellar cast he’ll be joining in Kornél Mundruczó’s upcoming drama “At the Sea,” including Amy Adams, Murray Bartlett, Chloe East, Daniel Levy, Jenny Slate, and Rainn Wilson. It’s like a reunion of my favorite TV shows all rolled into one!
Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein has landed a new role opposite Jennifer Lopez.
Goldstein has signed on to star with Lopez in rom-com Office Romance, which Netflix has picked up.
According to Deadline, Goldstein is collaborating with Joe Kelly on the screenplay for the upcoming film. The script features several captivating roles for skilled actors.
In July, Goldstein was announced as starring in Kornél Mundruczó’s upcoming drama At the Sea.
The movie “At the Sea” boasts an impressive cast, including Oscar winner Amy Adams (“Arrival”), Murray Bartlett (“The Last of Us”), Chloe East (“The Fabelmans”), Daniel Levy (“Schitt’s Creek”), Jenny Slate (“Parks and Recreation”) and Rainn Wilson (“The Office”).
The story, set by the seashore, primarily focuses on Laura Adams, who makes her way back to her family’s vacation beach residence following an extended period of rehabilitation.
In the movie’s narrative, it unfolds that she finds herself needing to adapt once more to the intricate life she had previously abandoned. This time, she must navigate through the following phase of her life minus the career that brought her recognition, wealth, and essentially, her sense of self.
Recently, I had the pleasure of seeing my latest film, “All of You,” at the Toronto International Film Festival. What an incredible experience!
This movie features Goldstein acting alongside Imogen Poots from “Outer Range.” The direction is handled by William Bridges. It’s being promoted as an emotionally resonant, modern-day drama set in the future.
They were the closest of friends, carrying an unvoiced affection towards each other, despite one of them being paired with their presumed soulmate following a series of games.
Lopez is currently a major success on Netflix, as evidenced by her last two releases – ‘The Mother’ and ‘Atlas’ – which garnered a total of 136.4 million and 73 million views worldwide, respectively.
The film “The Mother” has achieved a significant milestone by becoming one of the top 10 most-viewed movies ever on Netflix, and it held the position as their most-watched movie in the year 2023.
