Eric Dane is speaking out for the first time since going public with his ALS diagnosis.

52-year-old former star of Grey’s Anatomy disclosed in April that he is struggling with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), an uncommon, non-curable neurological disorder that gradually weakens muscles and impacts bodily function.

Shortly following Dane and his former spouse, actress Rebecca Gayheart (aged 53), mutually deciding to halt their divorce proceedings after a seven-year separation, they received distressing health news.

The pair share two daughters — Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13.

On Thursday, Dane made a brief appearance in a sneak peek for his upcoming interview on Good Morning America with Diane Sawyer, providing a heartfelt look at his personal journey in dealing with his diagnosis.

In a display of raw emotion, the actor dabs at his eyes, confessing openly, “I believe my tale isn’t over yet. It doesn’t feel like this is the end for me.

He expressed his gratitude for having his loving family with him as they move forward into the next phase, according to his declaration.
