Teamfight Tactics’ next set, Magic n’ Mayhem, adds new Spells and more
As a long-time fan of League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics, I’m absolutely thrilled about the upcoming Magic n’ Mayhem set! The visual transformation of the game into the Magitorium, where magical beings come together to test their skills, sounds fantastic. I can’t wait to explore this new world and see how it enhances the gameplay experience.
In the upcoming “Teamfight Tactics” series, titled “Magic n’ Mayhem,” the game will undergo a visual makeover, transforming into the “Magitorium,” a grandiose magical castle where mages, wizards, and other magical beings convene to demonstrate their abilities. The release of “Magic n’ Mayhem” is scheduled for July 31, at no cost, accompanied by a battle pass.
Just like past updates for Teamfight Tactics, Magic n’ Mayhem introduces fresh content including champions, traits, mechanisms, and more. A novel addition to this mechanic is Charms, one-time magical spells that can significantly impact battles. These Charms replace a unit slot in every other shop. With over 100 available Charms, they cater to diverse magical elements – wealth enhancement, increased combat power, or disruptive effects on the battlefield. Furthermore, numerous new Augments have been introduced to add excitement and unpredictability to rounds.
The victors in Magic n’ Mayhem hail from diverse magical factions within League of Legends: Arcane, Coven, Winterblessing, Faerie Court, and even Cafe Cuties. Noteworthy among them is the duo composed of Norra and Yuumi. Although Yuumi is already a support champion in League of Legends, Norra has thus far been exclusive to the card game Legends of Runeterra. It’s intriguing to witness her expansion into other Riot offerings.
The latest addition offers fresh cosmetics in the new package. Some of these enhancements can be obtained via the linked battle pass. This bundle introduces several new Tacticians – small figures present during battles. Among them are adorable creatures, while others represent chibi versions of champions from “League of Legends”. Furthermore, arena skins are included if you prefer a more attractive battleground.
Riot is developing features called multi-sets and cosmetic loadouts. With multi-sets, gamers can arrange strategies for multiple sets simultaneously when they have more than one accessible. Cosmetic loadouts enable users to quickly switch between various appearances.
