Team Falcons PH reflect on their rollercoaster MPL PH Season 16 run

Just like that, Team Falcons PH is out of the playoffs.

The first match of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 16 featured a showdown between Team Liquid PH (TLPH) and Team Falcons PH (FLCN). TLPH won the series quickly and decisively with a score of 3-1.

After the game, the Falcons talked about their season, sharing what they thought went well and what they could have improved.

Team Falcons PH is not happy about their MPL PH Season 16 run

Man, FLCN really struggled at the beginning of MPL PH Season 16. They hit a seriously tough losing streak and found themselves at the very bottom of the standings. But they didn’t give up! They came back strong in the second half, playing with a lot more fire, and managed to snag that last playoff spot. It was amazing to watch their comeback!

Their success didn’t last, as they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs on Day 1. They lost to TLPH with a score of 1-3, a team that’s having a very successful season. This unfortunately ended their run in MPL PH Season 16.

Coach Mohammad “Moody” Samal and his team remained positive despite their loss. He shared that the team’s turnaround during the regular season was the most memorable part of the year for him. Even though they didn’t win, he’s proud of how hard the team fought despite facing many challenges.

“You win some, you lose some,” Coach Moody said. “They simply played a better game today, and we have to accept that.”

Although they appear happy, there’s an underlying disappointment, a feeling that they didn’t quite reach their full potential. After a surprisingly successful regular season, Roamer Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo admitted the team wasn’t satisfied with their performance this season.

“For me, we were just very lucky during that time,” Owgwen shared.

Team Falcons has been eliminated from the MPL PH Season 16 Playoffs and will now prepare for the next season.

What’s next for MPL PH Season 16?

On October 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM (Philippine Time), Team Liquid PH will move forward to the Upper Bracket Semifinals of MPL PH Season 16, where they’ll face ONIC Philippines. This match is especially exciting because it pits two teams who have both previously won world championships against each other.
