Taylor Swift’s trivial act at restaurant leaves influencer ‘mortified’

Influencer Serena Kerrigan spilled on her awkward encounter with Taylor Swift. 

31-year-old social media influencer admitted feeling embarrassed when Taylor Swift, aged 35, kindly refused her invitation for a complimentary Let’s Fing Date card game during their evening out, leaving the game in question.

At the same eatery, Kerrigan stepped forward to converse with the artist famously known as All Too Well.

She told the story on the latest episode of iHeartRadio’s Casual Chaos podcast with Gia Giudice.

Just the other day, I found myself at a restaurant and word on the street was that Taylor Swift was dining there. My heart pounded as I thought, “I simply must present her with my custom card game!” That’s how excitedly I put it across, as Kerrigan shared.

Meanwhile, my boyfriend Felix Levine remained at home, packing my card game inside an Uber bag. Having exited the restaurant, I found myself surrounded by countless paparazzi and enthusiastic fans who had gathered outside.

Kerrigan continued, ‘So I was like, “OK, she’s here.” 

I picked up the card game and took my seat. After that, we headed over to The Corner Store where we indulged in food and drink, with everyone exiting the restaurant one by one.

A while back, Swift had dinner with her beau, Travis Kelce, along with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

As the quartet left the restaurant, Kerrigan waited for her opportunity. 

I exclaimed something like, ‘Hello! I’m a big fan and I designed a card game that I believe you’ll adore.’

Kerrigan stated, “She truly examined it, and she replied, ‘Oh, my goodness, thank you so much, but no, thank you. However, I do appreciate it,'”

Kerrigan explained, “She really took a look at it, and she said something like, ‘Wow, thanks a lot! But no, thanks. Yet, I’m grateful,’

It was incredibly kind. I doubt she would accept it from me, as if it were some form of venom. It resembled a cigarette.

Kerrigan remarked that the Bejeweled singer responded with a “sweet” reaction, yet she remained “embarrassed” or “ashamed” due to being rejected.

‘I was like, “Oh my God, I put her in this position where she had to say no.”

However, I eventually moved past it since the tale is so emblematic for the narrative. Her refusal hardly mattered to me in the end, Kerrigan stated.

‘And by the way, I kept the game that she rejected. 

One time I’ll encounter her, and I plan on saying something like, “Let me share an amusing tale with you,” and we’ll end up becoming the closest of friends. Everything seems to be working out fine.

‘I was so scared. Even afterwards, I obviously felt about, like, “Oh my god, rejection.” 

Instead, one could say: Yet, I found myself exclaiming, “Wow, that was absolutely amazing!” And, indeed, there was a connection. As they always say, you can’t hit the target if you don’t take the shot. I’m incredibly pleased that I chose to go through with it,’ she summed up.

She shared the video of her trying to hand the package to Swift on Instagram last month.

‘Gotta shoot my shot,’ she captioned the post.
