And this week her year became a whole lot worse.

According to an exclusive report from the Mail, the actress’s close companion, Taylor Swift (who is arguably one of the most influential figures in entertainment), has been thrust into a complicated situation and has received a subpoena from Baldoni’s legal team.

Following several weeks of speculation, the legal summons requiring Taylor Swift to appear for an interrogation by attorney Bryan Freedman, known for his aggressive streetfighter style, has been served. This is seldom a delightful situation for anyone under oath.

Freedman stands as a formidable and respected attorney within the realm of entertainment. His clientele includes high-profile personalities such as Kevin Spacey (accused of misconduct), Kate Beckinsale, Julia Roberts, and Bella Thorne.

A source reported: ‘Taylor Swift is currently facing a subpoena. Some subpoenas are expected to be delivered this week, while some depositions are already being arranged. It’s common for people to try to find ways out, but avoiding a subpoena is generally not an option.’

Not only that, but I can also disclose some additional information. Swift’s boyfriend, the renowned American football player Travis Kelce, is expected to receive a subpoena as well. The same goes for Lively and Reynolds’ friend, the famous actor Hugh Jackman from X-Men.

The news could be another severe setback – arguably the toughest and most agonizing one so far – for the well-known actress Lively, who gained fame from the popular teen show, “Gossip Girl,” around the end of the 2000s.

Three months after the initial dispute, the situation escalated when Baldoni filed a lawsuit against him, which she followed up with a countersuit, along with her husband Ryan Reynolds. The suit, valued at $400 million, alleged that they had unfairly excluded Baldoni from his own movie, where he served as both director and lead actor, and destroyed his career in the process. A court hearing has been scheduled for March next year.

On Late Night With Seth Meyers, Taylor Swift clarified some aspects of her year, describing it as both incredibly exciting and challenging. She termed it as ‘packed with the greatest peaks and the deepest valleys’ of her life.

However, how on earth did the immaculate American darling and tycoon, Taylor Swift, find herself caught up in this situation? What makes us think Lively will respond negatively to this predicament?

The background is that Swift has been Lively’s best friend for years.

She serves as the godmother to all four of Lively’s children, and these two close friends rejoiced together when Travis Kelce played in the Super Bowl last year. However, a significant rift began to emerge in their friendship in January, following the release of documents by Baldoni’s legal team, which detailed one of the pivotal moments that strained his relationship with Lively.

He claimed this incident occurred during an uncomfortable gathering with her (Swift), Reynolds, at their New York penthouse, where he asserted that he was compelled to approve Lively’s modifications to the “It Ends With Us” script under pressure.

Baldoni interpreted what Lively said as a warning, and by ‘dragon,’ she meant Swift and Reynolds.

– He responded, expressing that the modifications made to the script were ‘much more engaging and entertaining’, and that he ‘would have found it enjoyable regardless of Ryan and Taylor being present’.

There has definitely been a distinct distance between the two women since the lawsuit began.

Vibrant wasn’t asked to join Taylor Swift at her Super Bowl outing in February, and rumors spread suggesting that Taylor felt disappointed about being caught up in the commotion.

For years, Lively’s closest friend remained silent regarding her defense – a notable contrast from her actions in 2016 when she publicly supported singer Kesha, who accused music producer Dr Luke of rape. Swift not only donated $250,000 to Kesha but also authorized her representative to issue a statement in support of her. However, the music producer denied the accusation, and eventually, both parties settled the case outside of court in 2023.

Approximately a week past, the American publication People (apparently informed by supporters of Lively) posted an article suggesting that the friendship between the two women had been restored, bringing Lively comfort after a challenging time.

According to a source, Blake believed that her friendship with Taylor would endure beyond their current predicament, implying they would reconcile eventually. Given how deeply Taylor was affected by the situation, she found solace in the fact that they managed to move past it and leave it behind, as this wasn’t something she considered trivial.

In the whirlwind of fandom, I still can’t shake off the shock that hit me days later when Kelce unfollowed Reynolds on Instagram – another almighty bombshell! In this era where a simple thumbs up or down on social media carries more weight than an entire People magazine article, it was crystal clear to all that the bond between Lively and Swift had shifted.

Swift doesn’t follow anyone on Instagram, whereas Kelce followed Reynolds, which symbolized the strong bond between their couples – a bond that is no longer evident now.

Approximately at the same period, Taylor Swift attended Gigi Hadid’s 30th birthday party in New York City. Interestingly, Blake Lively was not present, which seemed to suggest a growing estrangement between her and Taylor Swift, and their circle of friends. Rob Shuter, a gossip columnist, speculated that Gigi Hadid had to make a choice between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively, and ultimately chose Taylor Swift.

Regardless of her wealth and power, Swift won’t be able to escape the strain of being entangled in the Baldoni/Lively legal case next year.

It has been reported that Hugh Jackman, Reynolds’ friend and co-star in Deadpool and Wolverine, is becoming involved in the dispute over Reynolds’ character, Nicepool, in the film. Baldoni’s legal team claims that this portrayal was a mocking depiction of Baldoni.
