Taylor Swift’s friend Robert Pattinson gets touching shoutout by Paramore at her Eras Tour Wembley show – as his fiancée Suki Waterhouse is an opener
As a long-time Swiftie myself, I must say it was quite disappointing to hear about the chaos that unfolded during Taylor Swift’s Wembley show opening. Having been through numerous concerts myself, I know how heartbreaking it can be to miss even a single note of your idol’s performance.
At the London Wembley Stadium, where they opened for Taylor Swift on Saturday, Paramore honored Robert Pattinson with a heartfelt tribute.
In the 2008 film Twilight, where the hit song Decode by Paramore was prominently used, Robert Pattinson transformed into an internationally adored heartthrob by portraying vampire Edward Cullen.
On the eve of my concert at Wembley alongside Taylor Swift, I couldn’t help but dedicate a powerful performance of “Decode” to none other than the amazing Robert Pattinson, turning 38 that very day. It was as if he was right there in the crowd, his presence palpable and electrifying!
Hayley Williams, the lead vocalist of the band, complimented Suki Waterhouse, the 32-year-old partner of Robert Pattinson, who happened to be one of Taylor Swift’s opening performers during that same event.
In the shared footage from what was previously known as Twitter, Williams, aged 35, tenderly consecrated the upcoming song to Mr. Waterhouse.
Waterhouse, a lifelong friend of Swift, dropped by for a unique performance during her buddy’s Saturday concert, despite the fact that they aren’t currently on tour together.
That evening on stage, I couldn’t help but express my admiration for Suki Waterhouse. She absolutely nailed it! The audience responded with a hearty round of applause, reflecting their appreciation too.
“Williams announced that the upcoming song was dedicated to Mr. Waterhouse, causing another round of applause. It’s for you, Robert,” he added.
Without any ambiguity about her chosen tune, she additionally quoted one of Robert Pattinson’s well-known lines from Twilight: “This is the hide of a predator, Bella.”
According to the popular young adult books written by Stephenie Meyer titled “Twilight,” the four movie adaptations feature Robert Pattinson portraying the character of Edward Cullen, a vampire, who develops feelings for an ordinary girl named Isabella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart.
On tour with Taylor, Paramore hadn’t typically included decoding as a routine part of their opening acts, as reported by People.
In the heat of their concert, I found myself momentarily taken aback when Paramore paused their spectacular show. It seemed they had spotted a fellow enthusiast in need of immediate care, and without missing a beat, they prioritized ensuring that fan was okay before continuing with the music. What a band that truly cares about its fans!
During their segment of the European leg of her Eras Tour, the band momentarily paused their popular song to attend to a fan in the audience.
In the middle of their song “Only Exception”, Williams paused and called out to her bandmates, “Let’s halt this for a moment,” then turned to the audience, checking on a fan who seemed to require medical aid, and inquired, “Everyone here okay?”
In the now hushed, fully packed stadium, a fan required assistance from security. Hayley then addressed the crowd, “I apologize, please let’s ensure they’re alright before we continue.”
As the whole stadium grew hushed, Hayley aimed to break the tension by sharing a witty remark, saying something along the lines of: “Geez, it’s so quiet inside Wembley now.”
During the initial phase of Taylor Swift’s performance at Wembley Stadium on Thursday, her fans found themselves enraged, as they were unable to gain entry and were stuck outside while the show commenced.
34-year-old singer known for “The Cruel Summer,” is now back in London for another five performances, but some enthusiastic fans unfortunately missed the initial part of her debut show in the city.
It’s worth noting that some fans might have missed the initial tracks from the Lover era, as they were occupied with getting their wristbands during the event.
Fans of Taylor Swift (Swifties) became upset when they were denied access to the stadium because of an ongoing maintenance problem that caused the security team to run out of admission wristbands.
Audience members were urgently asking for faster entry to avoid missing the beginning of the performance, as the performer initially sang “Cruel Summer,” “The Man,” “Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince.”
A person who attended the concert remarked: ‘It was disorderly; they wouldn’t allow entry unless you had a wristband. They’d occasionally bring some more up, but they would run out quickly, making us wait for quite a while every time they restocked.’
34-year-old Taylor unveiled five fresh supporting artists for her concerts at Wembley Stadium on Instagram recently, among them are Raye and Suki Waterhouse.
Led by Hayley, the band is currently touring Europe alongside Taylor, and a variety of talented women will join them during their performances at Wembley.
Instead of Paramore, who are scheduled to appear at all concerts, the other artists will take turns performing on different nights.
On the 16th of August, Holly Humberstone gave a performance; the next day saw singer and actress Suki Waterhouse performing.
On the 19th of August, Maisie Peters is set to perform, with Raye following suit as Taylor Swift’s opening act on the 20th August instead.

Following these shows, the performer plans to rest before resuming the tour in Canada, starting in November.
