Taylor Swift’s cookie recipe makes its way into Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal battle

A Taylor Swift cookie recipe could appear in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s ongoing legal war.

Lively, who is 38, has submitted new evidence to the court through her lawyers, including a Taylor Swift cookie recipe mentioned in previous messages, according to TMZ.

After receiving new evidence, 42-year-old Baldoni’s lawyers have requested more time from the judge to examine it.

His legal team says it’s very unlikely the secret recipe will be presented as evidence when the trial starts on May 18th.

Lively also submitted photos of herself with Taylor Swift, 36, and a heartfelt message about her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as part of the documents.

Baldoni’s team needs a week to review the 68 exhibits submitted by Lively’s team on Friday. They also need time to finalize Lively’s witness list and the evidence she plans to present, making sure it’s focused and manageable.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Swift for comment but has yet to hear back. 

Earlier this month, a judge dismissed most of Lively’s lawsuit against her “It Ends With Us” co-star Baldoni, rejecting 10 out of her 13 claims. Lively and the singer were previously close friends.

Now the actress has added Reynolds to her already lengthy witness list.

Reynolds has staunchly supported his wife as she prepares to go against Baldoni in court.

People magazine reports that the 49-year-old actor will likely share details about problems with how the film was made and advertised, as well as claims of unfair treatment and resulting harm, which are key parts of the legal dispute.

Lively and Baldoni are both scheduled to take the stand when the trial starts. They both turned down offers to resolve the case outside of court earlier this week.

Lively’s sister, Robyn Lively, and her co-stars from the movie It Ends With Us, Jenny Slate and Isabela Ferrer, are also on the list of people who will testify.

She’s also called on several of Baldoni’s colleagues to support her story, such as Liz Plank, who used to co-host his podcast, Stephanie Jones, his former publicist, and Melissa Nathan, a PR manager he’s worked with.

The author of the book the movie is based on, Colleen Hoover, might also be called to testify.

Her testimony is expected to be presented via deposition rather than in-person testimony.

Baldoni believes Hoover’s statements shouldn’t be considered as evidence, as he wasn’t actually present during filming of the ‘It Ends With Us’ movie.

Slate believes her complaints against him shouldn’t be considered because any problems she had were already taken care of.

In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against her co-star and director, Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment, unfair retaliation, and causing intentional emotional distress.

The lawsuit has apparently strained Lively’s friendship with Taylor Swift. Swift became involved when Lively was legally compelled to hand over messages – texts, emails, and any other communications – between herself and the singer as part of the case.

Lawyers were able to review the text messages, and in one conversation, Lively seemed to call herself Khaleesi from Game of Thrones and referred to Swift as one of her ‘dragons’.

Baldoni’s documents also state that Taylor Swift attended a meeting hosted by Lively in her New York penthouse, where they talked about changes to the script.

People familiar with Taylor Swift’s situation say she wasn’t aware of the meeting beforehand and just happened upon it as it was already starting.

Sources say the singer—who is a godmother to Blake Lively’s three daughters—felt taken advantage of by the situation.
