Taylor Swift will not be performing at 2026 Grammys amid wedding planning with fiance Travis Kelce

Okay, so I’m trying to stay calm, but apparently Taylor isn’t scheduled to perform at the Grammys on February 1st. I’m checking every source, and honestly, it’s terrifying! They haven’t even said for sure she’ll be there, which is just…unacceptable. I need her to be there! I’m obsessively refreshing pages hoping for any news, but so far, nothing confirmed about her attending. It’s a nightmare!

Ben Winston, the executive producer of the Grammys, has confirmed that the rumors about the superstar attending this year’s show are false. He has addressed and dismissed the speculation.

Reports suggest Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are hitting a rough patch in their relationship as they begin planning their wedding – their first major challenge as a couple.

Taylor Swift, age 36, wasn’t nominated for any awards this year because her newest album, The Life of a Showgirl, came out too late in the year. It was released just over a month after the August 2025 deadline for consideration.

Following a report from HITS Daily Double suggesting she would perform, he clarified the situation in an interview with the same outlet on January 22nd.

He explained that the speculation about Taylor performing or attending started when the industry publication HITS reported it, and that news quickly spread worldwide.

HITS completely fabricated that story. It’s frustrating to now be questioned about it as if it’s true, especially since it originated within your own team. It’s ironic, to say the least!

This announcement follows Swift’s recent suggestion that her new album would be coming out soon.

In October 2025, she released her album, The Life of a Showgirl. Over the past five years, she’s put out a total of nine albums.

I’m so excited! In her Disney+ docuseries, she really dropped a hint about a new album that she thinks will even be bigger than ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ – and she’s always said that one was her biggest work so far. It’s going to be incredible!

Sabrina Carpenter is the first performer announced for the upcoming Grammy Awards.

Mary J. Blige has received six Grammy nominations, with her recent album, ‘Man’s Best Friend,’ being nominated for Album of the Year.

Winston explained that the Grammys will be revealing more performers each day before the awards show, similar to how an advent calendar reveals a new surprise daily.

He said they believe it will generate buzz. He explained that Sabrina’s performance last year was key to the show’s success, as they addressed some difficult issues early on, which had created a rather serious atmosphere.

After the destructive wildfires hit Los Angeles last year, Carpenter faced a lot of expectations, but she successfully met them.

‘We were relying on Sabrina to turn the tide and go, “Okay, now we can have fun,”‘ he said.

It’s a difficult task to ask of the first performer, but she doesn’t seem bothered by it at all, Winston noted.

Honestly, her presence just completely shifted the energy of the event. It meant we could truly celebrate without it feeling like we were simply asking for donations. It took the pressure off and let everyone just enjoy the night, and that’s exactly what we wanted.

Winston confirmed her return and hinted at a spectacular performance, saying, ‘She’s got something big planned.’

The Grammys will be hosted by Trevor Noah and will air on CBS next weekend.
