Taylor Swift Steals Janelle Monae’s Jacket at Grammys

Taylor Swift had a ball at the Grammy Awards on Sunday evening.

39-year-old Cynthia Erivo and Janelle Monáe were the objects of admiration, as they danced, sang, shared champagne, and forged a connection, all while our subject donned a tuxedo jacket.

On November 3, 2024, Andra Day paid homage to the late Quincy Jones, a music legend who passed away at the age of 91, leaving behind an incredible body of work that included some of the most iconic songs ever made.

While performing Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop Until You Get Enough”, Monáe discarded her tuxedo coat, tossing it towards the enthusiastic crowd who were standing, dancing, and joining in with the music.

The performer from So High School, aged 35, grabbed the coat and wore it atop her red Vivienne Westwood mini dress.

When Monáe took off her jacket and white shirt, she was wearing an ‘I heart QJ’ t-shirt underneath.

Taylor seemed to be having a great night, despite not taking home a Grammy.

Indeed, she raised a toast with Jay-Z as Beyoncé was awarded Album of the Year for Lemonade.

The Cardigan singer was also nominated in that category for The Tortured Poet’s Department.

Taylor also had a fun moment with Best New Artist winner Chappell Roan, 26.

Chappell wore a large pointed had with fabric flowing from the point of the top of it.

Instead, the two popular musicians replicated the Wicked poster’s design, with Chappell taking on the role of Elphaba, while Taylor filled in as Glinda.

It appears the artist behind Bejeweled has possibly squashed any rumors of a dispute with Billie Eilish, as she was spotted grooving to one of Eilish’s tracks.

At the 67th Grammy Awards on Sunday evening, footage obtained by DailyMail.com showed Taylor Swift and Margaret Qualley dancing along to Billie Eilish’s performance.

On Sunday, they joyfully danced together to Billie Eilish’s 2024 track “Birds of a Feather”, right by their seats at the Crypto.com Arena, both showing pure delight.

It’s clear that both Swift and Qualley have been immersing themselves in music, effectively putting an end to any speculation about a disagreement or rivalry between Swift and Eilish.

The initial rumors about the disagreement arose in March 2024, when Eilish expressed her criticism towards artists who frequently unveil various versions of their album covers.

As a devoted admirer of artistic expression, I wholeheartedly believe that for certain creators, crafting an array of unique vinyl records and packaging is of great significance. This practice not only boosts their sales figures but also increases their earnings.

She went on, “I simply can’t put into words how much waste bothers me. It’s incredibly frustrating for someone like me, who makes a conscious effort to live sustainably and encourages everyone on my team to do the same.

On various instances, it’s been noticed that Swift did something similar, leading some fans to interpret it as a subtle critique of Swift. However, Eilish clarified that her comments were not intended to be about Swift.

On her Instagram post, Eilish stated that she was not specifically pointing fingers at anyone, but rather addressing broader, systemic problems within the industry. She acknowledged her own participation in releasing variations and expressed a desire to improve.

To be completely honest, mere months after the event, it felt like Taylor was subtly throwing shade once more, this time aimed at the Swifties’ beloved icon. You see, when she criticized lengthy concerts, many of us couldn’t help but feel a pang as we recalled that Taylor’s own performances usually run for an impressive three hours and 15 minutes. It was a connection that simply couldn’t be ignored!

In simpler terms, the Bad Guy singer expressed that no one desires it, neither you nor him, not even as fans.

‘My favorite artist in the world, I’m not trying to hear them for three hours.’

Fans speculated that the apparent feud between the artists might have intensified in May, as both Swift and Eilish released their works on the same day. Swift unveiled new digital editions of The Tortured Poet’s Department, while Eilish debuted her hit song “Hit Me Hard and Soft.

Danny Rukasin, Elish’s manager, endorsed and shared a tweet suggesting that Taylor Swift might have intentionally delayed the release of other artists’ music through her own timely releases… However, he swiftly removed the post afterward.
