Taylor Swift shares sexy BTS snaps from The Fate of Ophelia music video… as she breaks streaming record

Taylor Swift posted some behind-the-scenes pictures from the making of her “The Fate of Ophelia” music video on Instagram this Sunday.

The singer, age 35, debuted glamorous new looks to coincide with the release of her twelfth album, ‘The Life of A Showgirl’ on Friday. She wore striking costumes, like a bright red corset and long opera gloves.

She was dripping in diamonds and her hair was styled in a platinum-blonde bob with coiffed curls.

Taylor shared that making the music video for ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ was an incredible experience, especially because she worked with many of the same people from her Eras Tour!

The note went on to say that the goal was to make each continuous shot feel like a live performance, capturing the energy of being at the shows together and ensuring every second was impactful.

According to Hits Daily Double, the song reached 30.9 million streams on Spotify within its first day.

Taylor explained in her Instagram post that the music video is a look inside the wild world of show business. She shared how much she enjoyed collaborating with @rpstam, @ethantobman, and @nopenother to create the video’s imagery.

She finished by saying, ‘Thank you so much to the entire cast for being amazing and for keeping this video a surprise! You can watch it on YouTube now!’

The pop star performed on stage dressed in a 1950s-style blue swimsuit, complete with a glittering swim cap and a matching boa, creating a nautical theme.

Her backup dancers were identically dressed and used ring buoys as props.

And Taylor channeled the William Shakespeare character Ophelia in another part of the visual. 

The singer-songwriter’s new album quickly gained popularity, racking up 250 million streams on Spotify worldwide during its first day.

It’s the second-highest streaming album in a single day, only surpassed by the artist’s own previous album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Taylor Swift’s album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ started with 233 million streams on its first day with the original 16 songs. The deluxe edition then brought the total to 314 million streams, adding an additional 81 million, according to Hits Daily Double.

Taylor Swift’s music video for ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ was first shown during a two-day event called ‘The Official Release Party of a Showgirl’.

The 89-minute film was shown only at AMC theaters from October 3rd to 5th, timed to match the release of her new album.

The movie is predicted to be the top earner at the weekend box office after bringing in $15.8 million on Friday from 3,702 theaters, according to Variety.

Taylor Swift’s concert film, The Eras Tour, first hit theaters almost two years ago and quickly became a box office success, earning $96 million in its opening weekend.

The announcement for the release party of ‘Her Showgirl’ came only two weeks before the show actually premiered.

The pop star used social media to announce the screening, telling her fans – known as Swifties – that while dancing wasn’t required, it was highly encouraged.

The movie earned almost $16 million on Friday and is expected to bring in between $25 and $30 million by the end of the weekend.

On Saturday, the popular singer unexpectedly released four special versions of her new album for her dedicated fans.

Following Friday’s release, she took to social media to announce the special editions.

Taylor wrote, ‘File this under “save your best for the finale”…’

I really loved the intimate, acoustic moments during the tour. That’s why I went back into the studio with Max and Shellback to create new acoustic versions of some of the songs from the Showgirl album, completely re-recording the vocals and production!

She also announced that she’s released four limited-edition CDs, each with two exclusive acoustic bonus tracks, available on her website for the next 24 hours while supplies last.
