Taylor Swift delighted her dedicated fans, known as Swifties, by releasing four special, limited-edition versions of her newest album.
After releasing her 12th album, The Life of A Showgirl, on Friday, the 35-year-old singer used social media on Saturday to share news about special versions of the album.
As a huge Taylor Swift fan, I was so excited to see her latest Instagram post! She wrote, ‘File this under “save your best for the finale”…’ and honestly, it’s got me completely buzzing with anticipation. It feels like she’s hinting at something *big* coming last, and as a dedicated follower, I’m here for it! With 282 million followers seeing that message, it’s clear a lot of us are feeling the same way.
She explained, ‘What I enjoyed most about the tour was when we’d unexpectedly play songs acoustically. Because of that, I went back to the studio with Max and Shellback to create acoustic or unplugged versions of some of the songs from the Showgirl era, re-recording the vocals and updating the production!’
Oh my gosh, you guys, he *just* posted! He said, ‘Four limited CD releases are up on his site right now! And get this – each one has two acoustic bonus tracks! But seriously, he said they’re only available for 24 hours, or while supplies last, so I’m freaking out and running to get mine immediately! You HAVE to go check it out!
She gave credit to the album’s producers, mentioning herself by name: ‘Max Martin, Shellback and Taylor Swift‘.
Taylor shared the specific names of the updated album versions in her post, starting with, ‘I’m so excited for you to listen to: Life Is A Song Acoustic Version, which includes “Opalite (Life Is A Song Acoustic Version)” and “Ruin the Friendship (My Advice Version).”’
She went on to say, ‘The Dressing Room Rehearsal Version includes “Wi$h Li$t (Settled Down Acoustic Version)” and “The Life of a Showgirl (Dressing Room Rehearsal Acoustic Version)”’
This acoustic version features “Alone In My Tower”, along with “The Fate of Ophelia (Alone In My Tower Acoustic Version)” and “Eldest Daughter (Now You’re Home Acoustic Version).”
Lastly, we have ‘So Glamorous Cabaret Version’ featuring “Elizabeth Taylor (So Glamorous Cabaret Version)” and Elizabeth Taylor (Original Songwriting Voice Memo).
Every version features original artwork, displaying the performer wearing various detailed costumes and exploring different concepts.
The Life Is A Song collection features the artist wearing a lavender mini dress adorned with beads and featuring cutouts on the back, as she playfully interacts with a small, turquoise toy piano.
In “Dressing Room Rehearsal,” Taylor is seen with an unusual platinum blonde bob and wearing a sparkly, cranberry-colored dress.
The cover of Alone in My Tower features her in a plain, unassuming white dress. Her long, blonde hair flows down over her chest.

Taylor Swift’s new album is being released at the same time as a special movie showing what went on behind the scenes. This movie will be shown only at AMC theaters from October 3rd to 5th.
The 89-minute film, titled The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, earned $15.8 million on Friday from 3,702 theaters.
After earning almost $16 million on Friday, the film is expected to bring in between $25 million and $30 million by the end of the weekend.
Announced just two weeks before its premiere, ticket prices for the limited release are just $12.
The movie features a music video, as well as footage from behind the scenes and lyric videos for Taylor’s latest album. It also includes extra content about the making of the album.
She used social media to announce the screening, letting Swifties know that while dancing wasn’t required, it was ‘optional but very much encouraged.’
