The representative pointed out that Taylor’s contribution to the movie was limited to the inclusion of a song from her album, specifically “My Tears Ricochet,” which is one of the tracks on her 2020 release, Folklore.

The final point was that: ‘Since she was part of licensing a song for the movie, much like 19 other artists, this subpoena is being used to sensationalize Taylor Swift’s name and generate tabloid-worthy headlines rather than concentrating on the actual facts of the case.’
