Taylor Swift recently continued her history of generous giving by donating to a young girl fighting cancer.
A 35-year-old pop star recently donated $100,000 to help two-year-old Lilah fight a rare and aggressive brain cancer, as detailed on her GoFundMe page.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Taylor’s representative for comment but hasn’t heard back yet.
It’s unknown how Taylor Swift found out about Lilah’s illness, but an Instagram account dedicated to helping children with serious health issues shared that the little girl is a big fan of the singer.
The post featured a picture of bright, handmade friendship bracelets. Another patient was selling them to help raise money for Lilah’s expensive medical treatments.

Lilah’s aunt started a GoFundMe to help with expenses after Lilah had a seizure at home in February. This happened while Lilah’s mother was giving birth to her new baby at the hospital, and the seizure led to the discovery of Lilah’s cancer.
Lilah ‘was rushed to the hospital where they did a scan and found a mass on her brain.’
An MRI scan showed Lilah had a serious brain tumor, but doctors were able to remove it completely. She seemed to be recovering nicely.
That same day, she was moved to a children’s hospital for an MRI scan, which revealed she had a stage 4 tumor.
Later that week, her family received even more devastating news: doctors diagnosed her with a rare and fast-growing type of brain cancer.
Lilah will need three months of chemotherapy followed by three months of stem cell treatments. This means her family will likely face significant expenses, as they’ll need to stay near the hospital for about a month at a time during her care.
Swift’s $100,000 donation on Friday instantly topped the list of donations to Lilah.
That figure was the campaign’s total fundraising target, and they’ve already raised almost $178,000 as of Friday night.
Taylor left a short message of encouragement for Lilah in the support section of the campaign website.
‘Sending the biggest hug to my friend, Lilah! Love, Taylor,’ she wrote.
Fans quickly discovered Taylor’s act of generosity and decided to join in.
Because she’s interested in numerology and 13 is her lucky number, a lot of fans chose to donate $13 to the campaign.
Taylor recently showed a kind gesture, following a story from her friend Ruby Rose about Taylor’s generous nature and support.
Ruby refuted suggestions from certain fans and critics that Taylor holds conservative views or supports Donald Trump’s followers.
She focused on Taylor Swift’s kindness, explaining on social media this week that the singer apparently used to browse GoFundMe pages as if they were a social media feed, quickly donating to causes like someone would ‘like’ a post.
Taylor appears to have done just what Ruby described with her latest donation.
The singer-songwriter is known for helping fans in need, and she’s also given generously on a larger scale, most notably a $5 million donation made just over a year ago.
The large donation was intended to help communities recover from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. However, some people on social media criticized Taylor Swift for contributing only a small fraction – a little over 0.3% – of her $1.6 billion fortune.
Even though some people claimed Taylor used charitable giving to improve her public image, she didn’t publicize her donation to hurricane relief efforts on social media.
She hasn’t publicly mentioned her donation to help Lilah and her family, but her fans quickly found out and started donating as well after learning about her generosity.
