Taylor Swift ‘inspires’ music icon after pop star bought back her music empire

One of Taylor Swift’s musical inspirations has reacted to the pop star reclaiming her music empire.

Following the news that the 35-year-old Eras Tour artist had purchased her master recordings for approximately $360 million, Carole King extended a heartening message to her.

83-year-old legend, whom Swift had inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year, reshared the news on Instagram Stories and wrote, “You never cease to amaze me!” as a heartfelt message.

The now-expired post also featured a string of emojis, including a pink heart and music notes.

On Saturday evening, Swift commemorated a significant accomplishment by enjoying a meal out with Selena Gomez in New York City.

The Bad Blood hitmaker has previously opened up about how King’s music has inspired her.

At the 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, before presenting the Tapestry songstress, she expressed that she couldn’t recall a moment in her life without knowing Carole King’s music.

Originally from Pennsylvania, this individual once expressed, ‘I was brought up by two ardent supporters, who instilled in me fundamental life lessons based on their perspective: Always treat others as you wish to be treated yourself, have faith that you can accomplish anything you aspire to, and Carole King is undoubtedly the most exceptional songwriter in history.’

In another part of her speech, she mentioned, ‘Carole instilled in me, as well as others, the idea that sharing one’s personal narrative is valuable, and persevering through the effort and strife necessary to make it audible is worthwhile.’

In addition to her hosting tasks, Swift also sang a cover of the hit song “Will You Love Me Tomorrow,” which was co-written by King. This performance is said to have moved King to tears.

The 1960 track was originally recorded by The Shirelles and co-written by the inductee.

In her welcome address, the musician expressed gratitude towards the 22 singer for her significant impact on music and highlighted how she continues to advance pop songwriting by keeping its flame alive.

In 2019, at the American Music Awards, King awarded Swift the Artist of the Decade title, and subsequently, she received it.

According to Billboard, Taylor Swift purchased her music library for approximately $360 million from Shamrock Capital. This followed the sale of her master recordings by Scooter Braun, who some call a ‘bully,’ to the private equity firm in 2020; this occurred a year after he had bought them from Big Machine.

20 long years I’ve been holding onto that tantalizing hope, only for it to slip through my fingers time and again. But here I am, still dreaming, still believing… As I shared on my site this very Friday, the impossible might just become a reality at last!

Ever since I discovered this incredible reality, I’ve been overwhelmed with tears of happiness at unexpected moments. I can hardly believe it – I get to utter those long-cherished phrases! Each note, every melody I’ve crafted throughout my life… they’re mine now.

Her Instagram post hinting at the complete disclosure regarding the Masters reads, ‘You’re meant for me. Find it on my website;)’.

She was depicted in various photos, wearing a modest pale blue sweater and light-toned denim jeans. In these images, she was captured posing and grinning alongside six of her albums.
