Taylor Swift hit by major stage malfunction during iconic song during third night in New Orleans
As a seasoned lifestyle expert with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Taylor Swift’s performance during her recent stage malfunction at the Caesars Superdome was nothing short of remarkable. The way she handled the unexpected hiccup with grace and poise is a testament to her professionalism and resilience.
On Sunday, during her third and last performance at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Taylor Swift encountered a significant technical issue on stage.
During her performance of “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me” at The Tortured Poets Department, the 34-year-old pop star’s silver platform shoe, lovingly nicknamed ‘Tayoomba’, unexpectedly malfunctioned after she finished singing the first verse.
Instead, let’s say: Taylor chose to perform a song first, right on the floor, before strutting down the runway in the 83K-seat stadium. Eventually, her backup dancers cleared away the malfunctioning stage prop.
It also marked the first time Swift had to perform her track Down Bad without the ‘Tayoomba.’
The user @penthouseheart tweeted: ‘She handled it so smoothly, I’m amazed that this situation was a first for her! HAHA!’
‘Taylor Swift is such a seasoned professional,’ X user @moonlithoax marveled.
Despite her stage malfunctioning, she stepped down from the platform and managed to work it nonetheless! Not a single beat was skipped – simply remarkable!
As a die-hard admirer of hers, I truly appreciate that instead of floating, she walked in that scene. It adds an extra layer of rawness and intensity, making it all the more captivating. Yet, if she had been levitated, it would still have been a powerful moment, no doubt!
‘The way she killed that, I wouldn’t mind if it breaks again,’ Instagram user @palakb0905 wrote.
@rainbowsoph99 noted that the show’s execution seemed even more impressive, as her freestyle skills were simply outstanding.
@micaela.jonas pointed out, did one of the dancers make sure not to cause the others to stumble?
‘Last minute issues solved like real pros! Tay and everyone!’
On the last number of her 14 Grammy-winning performance, she sang “Karma”. Following the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the Las Vegas Raiders (score: 27-20), which took place in Nevada on a Sunday evening, she acknowledged her boyfriend of 15 months, Travis Kelce, who plays tight end for the team.

‘Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me!’ Taylor sang.
On the forthcoming schedule, Swift will be performing at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis from this Friday through Sunday on her $1.93B-grossing, 149-date The Eras Tour.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t contain my excitement! The music sensation born and bred in Pennsylvania, with an impressive 91.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify, is wrapping up The Eras Tour on a high note – right here in Vancouver on December 8th. I simply can’t wait!
Taylor now only needs to re-record two more archival albums (Taylor Swift and Reputation), as she has lost control over the rights to the initial six of her master recordings due to her former manager, Scooter Braun, who’s since stepped away from the music industry.
