Taylor Swift fans SLAM Rihanna’s boyfriend A$AP Rocky for referencing singer on controversial new song
As a long-time fan of the dynamic world of hip-hop and pop music, I find myself intrigued by the ongoing saga between these celebrated artists. Kanye West, Drake, Taylor Swift, and now A$AP Rocky – their names have become synonymous with hits, scandals, and the ever-evolving landscape of music.
On Thursday, A$AP Rocky plans to debut a track named ‘Taylor Quick,’ a clever twist on Taylor Swift’s name, but her fans (Swifties) seem unimpressed by this move.
35-year-old hip hop artist, known as The Good For You rapper, shared contentious artworks alongside the announcement of his new single on various social media platforms on Thursday. This artist, who has recently emphasized that his sons RZA and Riot will enjoy a typical upbringing, sparked some discussions with this move.
On the other hand, swift fans quickly adopted X as a platform to voice their disapproval towards Rihanna’s partner, who they believed was exploiting her name for social influence.
One fan expressed the idea that the frequent focus on Taylor by male rappers should be examined, possibly hinting at the longstanding conflict between Taylor and Kanye West, which started in 2009.
A different phrasing could be: “What’s the reason behind every man preferring Taylor Swift’s songs with beef? It seems unusual,” accompanied by a weeping emoji.
1. A social media user posted, ‘Attempting to increase Taylor’s influence,’ while another wrote, ‘We must be really exhausted.’ (This paraphrase maintains the original meaning while using simpler and more natural language.)
One Taylor Swift fan also added, ‘Desperate for a hit so they have to include the industry someway or somehow.’
1 User commented, ‘We can do without this,’ as another on platform X said, ‘Apparently someone is seeking recognition in their field by the name they have.’
Another Swiftie also penned, ‘men won’t stop using her name for clout,’ as well as ‘can these men leave her alone…’
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m excited to share that Taylor Swift seems to have lent her vocal talents for a collaboration on A$AP Rocky’s forthcoming fourth studio album, creatively titled “Don’t Be Dumb.”
Originally scheduled for release on August 30, Friday in 2024, the LP has been pushed back to Fall 2024 due to unauthorized leaks and issues with obtaining sample permissions.
Last year at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami, A$AP Rocky, also known as Rakim Athelaston Mayers, performed a song that referenced Taylor Swift, the Bad Blood singer.
Notably, the rapper showcased three unheard tracks from his album Don’t Be Dumb, one of which was a song called “Wetty (Taylor Swift)”.
Previously, Swift’s name has been mentioned in other songs, including those by the rap artist known as Kanye West, who is also called Ye.
A disagreement between them started in 2009, when the artist known for his heartless hits disrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Subsequently, the duo set their past differences aside and grew friendly towards each other, but his release of the song “Famous” in 2016 rekindled their old conflict.
Lyrics included, ‘I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that b***h famous (Godd***)/I made that b***h famous.’
In her statement, the singer admitted that she hadn’t seen the lyrics of the song prior to its public release, whereas Kim Kardashian, her former spouse, revealed to GQ that Taylor Swift had given her approval for the track.
She clearly anticipated that outcome, but feigned surprise as if she hadn’t. Believe me, my spouse often receives unwarranted criticism when in reality, they were following the right procedures and even took the step to seek approval.
Later on, People learned from a source that Taylor Swift wasn’t informed about the real lyrics, which are “I made her famous.”
Most recently, West mentioned Swift once again on the song, Lifestyle (Demo), off the Vultures 2 album with Ty Dolla $ign. Her NFL boyfriend, Travis Kelce, was also mentioned.
In his lyrics, Kanye sounds like he’s saying that he tightly rolls his Taylor spliffs, much like Travis Kelce does.
Previously, Drake mentioned Taylor Swift in his song “Red Button,” found on the album titled “For All The Dogs.”
“The only artist I truly admire is Taylor Swift / The only one who could convince me to release an album slightly earlier / Everyone else, I don’t consider successful.”
ASAP Rocky had planned for his album “Don’t Be Dumb” to release on August 30th, but recently, he shared on social media why there has been a hold-up in its release.
He penned to his fans, ‘Leaks & sample clearances are disrupting the album. It’s been 6 years & I wanna make the best album ever. Im sorry for the wait.’
In a candid conversation with Billboard, I shared my thoughts on the issue of music leaks that’s been plaguing the entertainment world, including my personal experiences.
For the past six years, I’ve been dedicating myself to creating music. However, when my work is leaked, I end up feeling frustrated, but I ultimately shrug it off with a resigned thought, “Oh well.”
‘They leak a lot of the music and it ruins it. Like my Taylor Swift video. I was pissed off about it, so I never released it.’
On the album, Rocky teamed up with various rappers and music producers including Tyler, The Creator, Metro Boomin, Pharrell Williams, and Mike Dean.
He explained that he had wanted director Tim Burton to help with the cover art, but due to scheduling conflicts, the pair weren’t able to find ample time to wok together.
However, the star revealed that the filmmaker has listened to Don’t Be Dumb.
He stated, “‘I listened to your album while sitting, and Tim Burton was deeply engrossed in it.’ He further mentioned that Burton was nodding vigorously and exclaimed, ‘Wow! I didn’t realize you created such music!'”
As a die-hard admirer, I’ve got to spill the beans about my beloved Danny Elfman! Known far and wide for his enchanting work scoring various Tim Burton cinematic masterpieces, he generously shared some tantalizing musical tidbits that find their way into tracks on the album.
