Before chucking the ring into the crowd, she belted the poignant lyric: ‘I didn’t have it in myself to go with grace’

At Volksparkstadion, a bustling football arena seating 57,000 people, the ring soared through the air and ended up hidden among the sections beneath it.

In the poignant, black-and-white TikTok video, it reads: ‘You’ve reached a new beginning,’ accompanied by the caption: ‘A page turned in the book of life.’

In various responses, it was noted by Taylor Swift’s followers that the act of tossing metal objects among a group of people could pose a safety concern for everyone involved, as suggested in Alannah’s post.

“This user on (previously known as Twitter) expressed a similar feeling, yet longing for something authentic: ‘She could’ve accomplished so much, but instead, she did something that might cause harm.’ This is the sentiment they conveyed.”
