Travis Kelce is set to begin his 13th season playing for the Kansas City Chiefs this coming Friday. However, there’s speculation that it might mark the start of his last year in the National Football League.
The professional athlete, aged 35, who went public with his engagement to Taylor Swift, also 35, last Tuesday, is allegedly considering venturing into television careers.
According to a source, the host of “Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity” is reportedly negotiating with Jeff Shaffer, an executive producer for “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” about appearing in a show created by him.
Daily Mail has reached to Kelce’s representatives for confirmation.
‘I know that Travis has been exploring a number of things,’ an industry insider told the outlet.
He’s discussing with Jeff an idea for a series reminiscent of ‘Curb’ where he gets filmed regularly. The plan is for him to star as himself in this production, as he’s keen on acting.

Kelce had a small part in Happy Gilmore 2, which debuted on Netflix July 25.
Wow, what a wild ride life is! It’s still hard to believe that I have this incredible opportunity,” the actor shared on social media alongside a picture of him with Adam Sandler.
“Hey there! A big thanks to you, Sandman, for providing us with the chance and bringing us Happy Gilmore 2. Don’t forget to catch it immediately!”
He’s also appeared in a number of commercials for Lowe’s, Pepsi, Subway and General Mills cereals.
Apart from that, he’s made appearances in ads for his own brewery, Garage Beer, as well as for Bud Light and State Farm.
The unique personal style of Kelce was blended with his collaboration with American Eagle for the “True Colors” line, a partnership that was officially unveiled on Wednesday.
In August 2024, the “New Heights” podcast, co-hosted by a professional football tight end and his older brother Jason, was given a contract worth $100 million by Amazon’s Wondery.
Kelce has moved many of his off-season operations to Los Angeles to work on his second act.
He appeared in five installments of the FX program titled Grotesquerie, which centers around a detective and a nun joining forces to solve gruesome crimes, with Niecy Nash and Micaela Diamond as leading actors.

By August 2024, the up-and-coming actor had been cast to lead in the action-comedy “Loose Cannons,” as reported by Deadline.
According to reports from IMDb, the story revolves around two eccentric police officers who are compelled to work together due to a merger of their respective precincts. They tackle cases that other law enforcement agents find too challenging. However, it’s important to note that production for this Lionsgate project has not yet commenced.
In reference to his relationship with his famous fiancee, Kelce views them as partners sharing equal status. He expressed this to GQ by stating, “I’m essentially her date,” indicating he can enjoy being the spectator alongside her, since he admires and appreciates her talent in music and art just like any other fan would.
Speaking from personal experience, there’s something truly special about having her by my side at the football games and at my performances. It’s more than just a ‘plus one’ – it’s a shared moment of excitement and joy, an experience that never fails to bring a smile to my face.
