Landman Cast and Crew Discuss the Show’s Future
The second season of Landman is arriving with both anticipation and questions about its future. Although Taylor Sheridan has a new deal with NBCUniversal, it won’t start until 2029. Viewers are wondering what this means for his current shows on Paramount, including Landman, Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, and Lioness.
Mustafa Speaks and Mark Collie, stars of Landman, expressed surprise at Sheridan’s departure and its effect on the show. Speaks explained that Taylor Sheridan always brings a certain energy to his projects – excitement, unpredictability, and intensity – which fans consistently enjoy.

Christian Wallace, the showrunner and co-creator of Landman, said they have plenty of time remaining on their contract with Taylor Sheridan. He explained they plan to continue developing the show, playfully referencing the series’ focus on oil drilling with the phrase “keep drilling.”
Wallace explained that the show has incredible potential and a huge world to explore. After two seasons, they’ve only just begun to scratch the surface of the stories they want to tell. He’s optimistic about the show’s future, hoping they can continue as long as there are compelling stories and an audience to enjoy them.
Landman is a drama set in the oilfields of West Texas, known for its compelling characters and relationships. You can currently watch Season 1 on Paramount+, and new episodes of Season 2 are released every Sunday.
