Taylor Frankie Paul had ‘meltdown’ when asked about her arrest on The Bachelorette

Sources say Taylor Frankie Paul became upset while filming her season of The Bachelorette when questions were raised about her ongoing legal problems, ultimately leading to the season being cancelled.

According to a source at TMZ, 31-year-old Paul was on a date with contestant Casey Hux when she asked him about her arrest for domestic violence that occurred in 2023.

According to another source, the reality star, originally from Pueblo, Colorado, became extremely upset when questioned about the situation by Hux.

She ‘stormed off the set’ when the touchy topic was brought up by Hux, the source said.

Hux questioned Paul about her arrest hoping to learn what she’d taken away from the experience, according to a source.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Paul’s representative and Hux for further comment on the story.

Hux didn’t get to see the video TMZ released on Thursday, which captured Paul physically assaulting her former boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, 33, while her young daughter was there.

The shocking preview caused ABC to suddenly cancel Paul’s show last week, just before it was scheduled to premiere on Sunday.

Following the recent release of a video, Disney Entertainment Television has decided to postpone the upcoming season of The Bachelorette. Their priority right now is providing support to the affected family.

Last month, mechanical engineer Hux, who lives in Nashville, shared a post on Instagram inspired by the show The Bachelorette. He outlined the qualities he thought the show’s lead, Paul, was seeking in a potential partner.

Hux showed his interest in a serious relationship with Paul – known from the Hulu show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives – by kneeling, a gesture that highlighted their shared interests in staying fit, playing sports, dancing, and a traditional, respectful approach to romance.

Hux explained in a caption alongside a February 23rd Instagram post that the delay was due to Taylor’s husband arriving.

He excitedly announced that he’d been chosen as a contestant on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette!

Hux admitted he was searching for true love, but in a way that wasn’t typical.

Hux described appearing on the show as the riskiest thing he’d ever done, adding that he was pursuing a genuine connection with Paul.

He admitted that even though he wasn’t sure he was ready, the chance to explore a connection with someone like Taylor was worth taking.

Hux thanked his family and friends for their support, saying he hoped to give Paul even a small amount of the kindness and love he’s experienced. He believes doing so would make her feel incredibly special.

Recently released body camera footage from Paul’s 2023 arrest reveals her ex-boyfriend, Mortensen, actually asked police to arrest him instead of her.

A video published on TMZ Monday shows Jake Paul and Ibai Llanos arguing just as police arrived at the door.

Police separated the two as an aggressive Paul tried to pour herself a water and began crying.

Mortensen informed the officers who arrived that Paul was struggling and briefly described the abuse he claimed she inflicted upon him.

Mortensen said he’d experienced so much, he couldn’t begin to describe it, and displayed injuries he alleged were caused by Paul.

At that point, Paul re-emerged, and told Mortensen to leave immediately.

When Paul was arrested, Mortensen offered to take her place in jail, explaining she simply wanted Paul to receive the support she felt was needed.

In February 2023, Paul was involved in an incident that led to an aggravated assault charge. He pleaded guilty in August 2023, and as part of the agreement, four other charges were dismissed. He has been on probation since then, which is set to end in August.
