As a lifelong Trekkie with memories of my parents huddled around our old black-and-white TV set for Star Trek: The Original Series, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of excitement and nostalgia as I witness the ongoing evolution of this iconic franchise. Newsome pointed out that Star Trek’s power lies in its adaptability, as demonstrated by shows like Strange New Worlds. Who would have thought a musical or a fantasy episode could work within it? Moreover, the characters are so richly developed that we eagerly anticipate each weekly episode during their airing.
