As a seasoned gamer with decades of wrestling lore under my belt, I must say that Tavion Heights is quickly becoming one of my favorite rising stars to watch in WWE NXT. His background in Greco-Roman wrestling gives him an edge over many others on the roster, and his performance during the NXT Deadline Tag Team Championship match was nothing short of spectacular.
At NXT Deadline, the NXT Tag Team Championship match was an entertaining spectacle, with Fraxiom emerging victorious. This victory signified that all is well between Nathan Frazer and Axiom. Despite not winning, Tavion Heights put on a captivating show, indicating his potential as a rising star to keep an eye on in the future.
For some time now, Heights has been a talent worth watching closely. WWE took notice and arranged for him to go on a tour to Japan, where he excelled in several high-profile matches at NOAH. Such impressive performances have surely caught the attention of those scouting future stars, as Heights consistently demonstrates his potential with displays like these.
Despite failing to win the tag titles alongside Myles Borne, Heights seized his opportunity to shine during the 15-minute match. He dominated the ring with an impressive sequence of powerful moves. Given his background in Greco-Roman wrestling, he seems tailor-made for this version of WWE. Not only does he possess the technical prowess to deliver thrilling matches, but his charisma and stage presence will set him apart as a sports entertainer.
He hit a series of big throws throughout the match, but with a variety that helps him stand out with a different offense than several of the other former professional grapplers on the roster. That is going to help Heights become a name that causes fans to tune in whenever he’s in the ring. As he continues to build that offense, expect his character to continue to develop as well. That is why it’s important for him to remain in WWE NXT for at least the next two years. He’s only 27 years old, giving WWE plenty of time to continue to build him into a key member of the roster for years to come.
At NXT Deadline, Tavion Heights didn’t walk away with a tag team title that was his own, but instead seized the chance to shine in his second PLE bout. Be sure to watch this talented performer; he possesses the skills necessary to become a champion in NXT and an enduring member of any wrestling roster for many years ahead.
