Taskmaster’s Sara Pascoe and Lou Sanders join comedy series
As a die-hard comedy fan with a heart full of laughter and a mind buzzing with humor, I can hardly contain my excitement over the upcoming series, Last One Laughing UK! With a lineup that reads like a who’s who of British comedy royalty, this show promises to be an unparalleled feast for the funny bone.
Sara Pascoe and Lou Sanders, known from Taskmaster, have been added to the lineup for the comedy show Last One Laughing UK.
In 2025, a six-episode comedy series is set to debut on Amazon Prime Video. The show follows a gathering of popular comedians who attempt to keep a straight face throughout their shared experiences.
In addition to Pascoe and Sanders, this series will also include performers such as Bob Mortimer, Daisy May Cooper, Joe Lycett, Judi Love, Rob Beckett, Joe Wilkinson, Harriet Kemsley, and Richard Ayoade.
Jimmy Carr will be in the host’s seat alongside special guest Roisin Conaty.
Throughout the run of the show, they’ll employ all their humor skills in an attempt to make their rivals laugh uncontrollably – while managing not to burst into laughter themselves, the series preview hints playfully.
The series includes numerous comedy appearances, unexpected format changes, and unexpected elements aimed at making everyone, including the actors and audience, laugh.
The logline concludes: “It’s a stellar line-up of British comedy talent as you’ve never seen them before, but who will be crowned the inaugural winner of Last One Laughing UK?”
The show titled “Last One Laughing UK” is a new version of the popular Amazon Original series called “Documental“, originally created in Japan by Hitoshi Matsumoto.
As a devoted viewer, I can’t help but express my excitement about the incredible success of “Last One Laughing” format on Prime Video. In France, Germany, and Italy, it has been the most-watched title ever, breaking records! And guess what? With successful adaptations in more than 20 territories around the world, this comedy juggernaut continues to make us laugh from all corners of the globe.
Notably, this year saw Graham Norton hosting “Last One Laughing Ireland”, with Rebel Wilson taking charge of the Australian version, and Trevor Noah handling the South African one.
In the premiere of its 18th season last month, comedians Rosie Jones, Jack Dee, Andy Zaltzman, Babatunde Aléshé, and Emma Sidi competed against each other to win over Greg Davies and Alex Horne in a humorous contest.
Speculations are now centered around season 19, as Horne hinted that a well-known figure might make an appearance on the program.
He mentioned during Sunday Brunch that for the upcoming series 19, we’ve invited someone who is well-known internationally but new to us. This is something we haven’t done before. So, there are always fresh paths to explore.
Taskmaster’s 18th season is aired every Thursday, and you can catch it on Channel 4. It’s also been officially announced that there will be a spin-off of the Junior Taskmaster show!
