The new season of Taskmaster is coming soon, and a premiere date has been announced! As usual, the show has already revealed the celebrity contestants who will be competing in the upcoming episodes.
The lineup includes Hollywood actor Kumail Nanjiani, comedy writer Armando Iannucci (known for The Thick of It), actress Joanna Page from Gavin & Stacey, comedian Amy Gledhill who stars in Last One Laughing UK, and Joel Dommett, famous for hosting The Masked Singer.
Season 21 of Taskmaster will premiere on Channel 4 on Thursday, April 9th at 9pm. After that, it will be available to stream worldwide on the Taskmaster YouTube channel at 10pm British Summer Time (BST), 5pm Eastern Time (EST), or 2pm Pacific Time (PST). This follows the same streaming schedule as last season.

Though we’ll find out what funny things happened on the show in a few weeks, creator Alex Horne has hinted at a unique and previously unseen moment involving Kumail Nanjiani.
Kumail Nanjiani has a funny scene coming up,” the interviewer shared with RadioTimes.com. “I won’t spoil it, but it involves what he gets up to alone in his hotel room – you’ll have to watch to find out!

He unexpectedly shared something very personal, and I happened to be right there with him. It was a truly unique and unforgettable moment on Taskmaster – something we’d never seen before.
Horne also revealed that Iannucci surprised him – but in a way that fans wouldn’t expect.

You know, I always thought Armando Iannucci was a genius, super witty and smart. But watching him on Taskmaster? Forget all that! Turns out he’s brilliantly, hilariously clueless, and honestly, it’s really refreshing to see. It’s just nice to know even smart people can be total goofballs sometimes!
He seemed intimidating at first, both to meet and collaborate with. However, it quickly becomes clear he’s just a regular person, and like anyone else, he struggles when things get stressful.
Maisie Adam recently won the most recent season of Taskmaster and is now competing on season two of Last One Laughing UK with Gledhill.
The new season of Taskmaster, season 21, starts on Channel 4 on Thursday, April 9th at 9pm. After it airs on TV, you’ll also be able to watch it on the Channel 4 YouTube channel.
