Comedian Katherine Ryan, known for her roles on Taskmaster, revealed a fresh endeavor unlike any other project she’s tackled previously.
Excitingly announcing, it’s been officially confirmed that Ryan has agreed to use her vocal talents for a brief appearance in the upcoming film, “The Bad Guys 2”, produced by Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation.
In a sequel to Dreamworks’ 2022 animated movie, “The Bad Guys,” the story unfolds as these former villains grapple with earning trust and gaining acceptance while trying to establish themselves as honorable characters, or ‘Good Guys.’

Their brief respite doesn’t endure for long, as the team is coaxed back from retirement by a group of criminal women known as ‘The Bad Girls’, compelling them to undertake one final mission.
On July 25th, the cinema premiere of the sequel is scheduled. In this continuation, Sam Rockwell reprises his character Mr. Wolf, joined by Marc Maron as Mr. Snake, Craig Robinson as Mr. Shark, Anthony Ramos as Mr. Piranha, and Awkwafina as Ms. Tarantula.
For the sequel, we have three newcomers to our ensemble: Danielle Brooks portrays Kitty Kat, Maria Bakalova takes on the role of Pigtail, and Natasha Lyonne steps into the character of Doom.
According to the announcement, Ryan will be providing the voice for a character called Maureen. This character is identified as the highly organized assistant to Governor Diane Foxington, who is being voiced once again by Zazie Beetz.
Regarding his part in the project, Ryan expressed: “This role is unlike anything I’ve tackled before. I admired the initial film due to its universal appeal; it caters to all ages, making it enjoyable for children while still appealing to me… It’s gratifying to take on a role that my kids will finally appreciate!
Previewing a sneak peek of our upcoming making-of video, the humorist hinted: “For the next installment, anticipate a blend of action, excitement, and laughter, along with an even more grandiose heist… it’s hilarious and entertaining, and I can hardly contain my enthusiasm!
The first movie is inspired by the popular children’s book series penned by Aaron Blabey, and it tells the story of a motley crew of characters often seen as villainous, but yearn for redemption and a chance to be good instead.
The Bad Guys 2 is released in cinemas on 25 July.
