The hit BBC comedy The Cleaner, created by and starring Greg Davies (known for Taskmaster), is coming back for a special episode. The guest cast includes actors you’ll recognize from shows like Peep Show, Amandaland, and Shetland.
The series, now in its third season, follows Paul ‘Wicky’ Wickstead (Davies), a cleaner who specializes in removing evidence and cleaning up after particularly horrific crimes.
The new one-hour special, a first for the show, follows Wicky as he somewhat unwillingly accompanies his girlfriend and her friends on a hiking trip to Italy.
So, this guy gets stuck at this really isolated mountain hotel after some kind of accident happens on his trip. Meanwhile, Ruth is off having all the fun exploring nature! The description says I’m going to see him get totally freaked out because he’s surrounded by a weird hotel manager – played by Peter Serafinowicz, which is awesome – and these really strange guests and staff. It starts with boredom, but quickly turns into full-on paranoia…I can’t wait!
Several guest stars will appear in The Cleaner In Italy, including Robert Webb (known for Peep Show), Peter Serafinowicz (Amandaland), Dylan Blore (Shetland), Kevin Eldon (Hot Fuzz), Tori Allen-Martin (Here We Go), Veronica Ferres (Call My Agent Berlin), Milanka Brooks (Black Mirror), and Zita Sattar (Holby City).
