Comedian Iain Stirling, famous for his role on Taskmaster, has officially been named the host of an upcoming humorous program, reportedly brimming with chuckles.
The stand-up comedian, who featured in the eighth series of Channel 4’s program, is set to host “Roast the Internet” on Comedy Central. In this show, he will be accompanied by several guests, all taking turns to mock various examples of poorly made online content. (As reported by British Comedy Guide).
Discussing their “pesky pet peeves about the internet,” Stirling and his companions will be presenting some clever and amusing remedies to the chaos on the web… reducing its grandeur a bit, yet secretly aiming for their best content to spread far and wide.
Stirling, who serves as the narrator for Love Island, expressed his enthusiasm about the project: “I’m thrilled to be part of this endeavor that gives me an opportunity to join forces with some of my esteemed colleagues in television (and online) and transform TikTok browsing into work!
Luke Hales from Comedy Central UK remarks that the internet can be chaotic and absurd, but who better to untangle it all for us than Iain Stirling? With his distinct comedic style at the core of the show and an outstanding group of guests, this series is brimming with humor – a delightful experience for our Comedy Central UK audience.

The lineup for “Roast the Internet” hasn’t been finalized yet, but a pre-broadcast pilot starring Maisie Adam, Desiree Burch, and Mat Ewins was filmed last year. The exact release date for the series is undisclosed at this time, but it will include eight one-hour episodes.
As a gamer, I’m pumped to dive into my next big project, which will be my first since the wrap of CelebAbility. This series, airing on ITV for seven seasons and 52 episodes, was a blast until it got axed in 2023.
Iain Stirling’s Roast the Internet has no release date yet.
