Wildly popular comedy show Last One Laughing is set to return for a second season.

Earlier this year, a popular game show, featuring an array of celebrities, challenged them to keep a straight face as they tried to make one another laugh.

The initial series showcased popular personalities from Taskmaster, such as Bob Mortimer, Daisy May Cooper, Judi Love, Joe Wilkinson, Lou Sanders, and Joe Lycett. It swiftly climbed up the United Kingdom’s streaming rankings, even making it to Prime Video’s top 10 list in the UK.

After the great success of the first season, it’s officially announced that there will be a second season coming up, with comedy icon Jimmy Carr reprising his role as the host.

I can hardly contain my excitement as I share the news – “Last One Laughing” is returning for another round!

It seems that someone with authority at Amazon might have accidentally set up a subscription for Amazon Prime Video, thereby restoring our service. Isn’t it surprising how things can suddenly turn around?

I’m thrilled that everyone enjoyed the first season as much as we enjoyed creating it. I can hardly wait to share in the joy and acclaim of the next ten comedy greats tackling this challenge.

Later this year, I’ll be stepping into the gaming arena alongside a fresh crew of comedians, trying my best not to burst out laughing as they unleash their hilarious antics on each other. It’s going to be an epic show!

The global premiere of season two of “Last One Laughing” is scheduled for 2026 on Amazon Prime Video. The specific air date remains undisclosed at this time.

The show, titled “Last One Laughing“, is based on the original Japanese Amazon series called “Documental“. In this production, ten comedians wager their personal funds in a humorous contest taking place within private confines, where they try to make each other laugh out of their own resources.

In various parts of the world, you can find different adaptations of “Last One Laughing,” such as in Mexico, France, Italy, Germany, Canada, Ireland, Australia, and South Africa.

In the earlier part of this year, Bob Mortimer emerged victorious as the inaugural champion of the United Kingdom’s “Last One Laughing,” outperforming Richard Ayoade in a sidesplitting finale.

In an interview with Radio Times, he shared that he anticipated finding it effortless to suppress laughter during the show. However, he found it surprisingly challenging as he spends much of his time without laughing. He described the ambiance as peculiar and admitted to facing difficulties initially.

The first printed magazine from Digital Spy is out now! You can purchase the “British Comedy Legends” either at your local newsstands or online, currently retailing for only £3.99.
