Taskmaster fan-favourites announce reunion for surprising project

A number of comedians, even several well-liked ones from “Taskmaster,” are coming together for a future undertaking.

The Clash of the Comics spectacle, where well-known comedians step into a wrestling arena, will return for another bout following its performances at the Edinburgh Fringe and other venues.

Fresh monikers have been unveiled for the upcoming hybrid comedy-wrestling spectacle scheduled at London’s Eventim Apollo on October 8. Fans can grab their tickets from either AEG or Ticketmaster.

Originally announced participants such as James Acaster, Phil Wang, Aisling Bea, Ed Gamble, Rosie Jones, Nish Kumar, Max & Ivan, Maisie Adam, Abi Clarke, Olga Koch, Matthew Crosby, Jazz Emu and Flo & Joan have already been scheduled. Now, Rose Matafeo and Kiell Smith-Bynoe will additionally join the lineup.

Sara Pascoe is set to join Nish and Greg Davies for some insightful commentary, whereas it’s been revealed that Joe Lycett, following an impulsive drunken decision, has taken on the role of CEO, allowing him to modify the rules at his discretion during the event.

Besides the earlier mentioned face-off between Phil and Ed, Maisie is set to battle against professional wrestler Nina Samuels, whereas James might go up against any competitor.

The fictional host has issued the “James Acaster Open Challenge,” a promise to face off against any individual from either the comedy or wrestling realm, promising an extraordinary entrance that will undoubtedly be the most impressive you’ve ever witnessed.

Currently, Taskmaster has concluded its 19th series, and they’ve already unveiled the roster for season 20, which is scheduled to be aired by the end of this year.
