Taron Egerton’s Netflix thriller confirms release date

Kingsman star Taron Egerton’s new Netflix thriller Carry-On has confirmed a release date.

In the film, Jason Bateman’s “Ozark” co-star, Egerton, plays the role of a young TSA agent named Ethan Kopek.

To clarify, the eagerly-awaited thriller is set to premiere on your screens right before Santa’s visit, with the streaming service confirming its release date as December 13.

According to the summary, the character Kopek struggles to outwit a secretive traveler named Bateman, who extorts him into allowing a hazardous item to be transported on a Christmas Eve flight.

Under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra, the film “Carry-On” features Sofia Carson, who is known for her role in “Descendants”, Danielle Deadwyler from “Till”, Sinqua Walls from “Once Upon a Time”, Logan Marshall-Green previously seen on “The OC”, Theo Rossi of “Sons of Anarchy”, and Dean Norris, who was in “Breaking Bad”. In addition to these stars, Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx are also part of the cast.

The movie hasn’t been previewed with a trailer so far, however, fans got a glimpse into some footage from the film way back in February during the Netflix 2024 sneak peek event.

In a brief yet exhilarating snippet, Egertton’s character Kopek was seen sprinting through the bustling airport terminals. A second glimpse offered viewers an initial sneak peek of Bateman and Carson slipping into their assigned characters.

Additionally, Netflix has announced the release date for their upcoming horror movie “It’s What’s Inside,” featuring Gavin Leatherwood, known for his role in “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.”

On October 4th, the movie will be released, perfectly timed for Halloween. The story unfolds as a pre-wedding gathering takes a terrifying turn when an old acquaintance appears with a cryptic briefcase, plunging everyone into a harrowing “philosophical nightmare.”

If you’re eager to watch the new season of its anthology true crime series Monster, the streaming service has officially announced when it will be released.

The movie titled “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story” is set to be released on the 19th of September. This film recounts the actual events surrounding the Menéndez brothers, who were convicted for the murder of their parents in 1996.

Carry-On will stream on Netflix from December 13.
