Tarek El Moussa’s Awkward Slip: Calls New Wife by Ex’s Name!
In my own words, I’d say: “I, Tarek El Moussa, shared a candid moment about my past slip-ups. Once upon a time, in the heat of the moment, I found myself unintentionally referring to my new spouse as the name of my ex, Christina Haack.
In a playful backstage video released on Tuesday, the property tycoon aged 43 openly admitted this during their upcoming HGTV series titled “The Flip Off,” which they co-host with Heather and Christina.
Back in 2021, I couldn’t help but feel a thrill as Tarek, my beloved star, exchanged vows with the stunning Heather, marking his new chapter three years after parting ways with his wife of nine years, Christina, in 2018.
In the Instagram video, Tarek chuckles when Heather jokingly scolds Bryan, their regular contractor, for accidentally referring to her as “Christina” during a home renovation project they collaborated on.
Heather jokes, “It seems the bathrooms don’t cost anything anymore!” However, Tarek can’t convince Bryan to admit his mistake in front of the camera.
Heather then exclaims: ‘[Bryan] called me Christina!’
As a devoted supporter, I wanted to comfort Bryan and shared that I too had experienced a similar situation once – Christina had accidentally called me by her name instead of mine, Heather.
He once did something and considers himself fortunate to still be alive, he stated. To this, Bryan retorted, “You’ve probably done it more than just that one time!
‘No just once. It was more than enough,’ Tarek replied.
Heather later pointed out that the misunderstanding with names occurred ‘during the early stages’ of their relationship, which could have taken place around 2019.
After making a jest, the former star of Selling Sunset said, “And Tarek was let go. Bryan, brace yourself! What perks are coming your way for nothing?
‘Nothing,’ Bryan said. ‘You get my excellent work and attention.’
Tarek and Heather titled the behind-the-scenes video they posted on Instagram and TikTok: “Is there a reliable contractor out there…? Just kidding, we adore you, Bryan! #TheFlipOff
Tarek’s admission follows closely after Christina appeared to be sharing living spaces with her ex-husband’s current spouse, causing some surprise.
A week ago, Heather lent Christina a captivating red dress for her date with Christopher Larocca on their special evening out.
On a recent Instagram Story post on Friday, Christina expressed her gratitude by saying, “I’m really thankful for letting me borrow that stunning dress from @theheartherraeelmoussa.
In December, Heather opted for a figure-hugging, slightly see-through gown, which attracted criticism due to its suggestive style. Some commented online that it was unsuitable for a mother, with one individual expressing their viewpoint as it being ‘not appropriate.’
‘The dress is not not appropriate. You’re a mother now,’ one fan wrote on her Instagram post.
The ex-star from Selling Sunset countered with the question, “Does being a mom mean I can’t don a lovely gown that boosts my self-confidence?
She stated, “‘How does this concern me? I’m Human, named Heather, not just a mom. Embrace happiness.
She doubled down on her stance as she took a screenshot the exchange and posted in her Stories.
Heather, the mother of two-year-old Tristan alongside her spouse Tarek, chimed in by saying, ‘Remarks such as these bring on a good chuckle.’
‘I don’t even get offended anymore by the rudeness of others. I choose to spread joy, not hate.’
Christina, Heather, and Tarek are currently featured in the fresh HGTV program titled “The Flip Off,” which is a derivative of the popular series “Flip or Flop.” The latter was significantly recognized during Tarek and Christina’s nine-year marriage.
From 2009 up until the year 2018, Christina was wedded to Tarek. Together they have a 15-year-old girl named Taylor and an eight-year-old boy called Brayden.
She was married to Ant Anstead from 2018 to 2021, and the pair share son Hudson, five.
Currently, she’s navigating through a challenging time following a disputed divorce from her former partner, Josh Hall, who was initially slated to appear alongside her in The Flip Off.
Last week, Haack confirmed her relationship status on Instagram by sharing a picture taken during a shared private flight with her new partner, Christopher, where they were seated together.
After it was reported by DailyMail.com that they had been dating since January, their relationship has now been officially confirmed.
‘Some plane flights must be hard posted,’ she joked in her caption.
In a photo captured during the evening, Christina and the head of Network Connex, a telecom service provider, were both spotted outside the plane following their arrival at an airport.
