Tarek El Moussa has revealed what he did to grow a thicker head of hair.
43-year-old real estate businessman, husband to Heather Rae Young (age 37), admitted having a cosmetic treatment, following speculations about him using a hairpiece in the most recent episode of HGTV’s The Flip Off.
Dishing to Page Six this week, he refuted claims that he uses a hairpiece.
The father of three admitted that he underwent PRP injections in his scalp, leading to thicker hair growth. This is a reference to his past marriage with Christina Haack.
In simpler terms, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is created when healthcare professionals extract a small amount of blood from a person, separate out the other blood elements, and increase the concentration of these components within the plasma – as explained by Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Apart from sharing with the media, Tarek mentioned that his spouse showed him a collagen-enhancing micro-needling treatment, which he undergoes on his face every six weeks.

Outside of that, he also sees clinicians for laser resurfacing.
For approximately six more weeks, they treat my skin with a laser. After that, I alternate between these treatments every six weeks, which is why my skin appears improved, as he clarified.
Moving on with his beauty enhancements, the reality TV star mentioned that he occasionally uses Botox as well.
‘It really works actually. I was shocked,’ he said of the wrinkle-reducing results.
More than a decade has passed since he battled both thyroid and testicular cancer in 2013. Subsequently, following his recovery from remission, Tarek endured a severe injury to his back.
In a show of his determination, the celebrity remarked, “Life has been incredibly challenging for me. The divorce in the public eye, the emotional pain, the battles with cancer twice, the operations – it feels like I’ve been through a relentless storm, yet I never gave up.
Today, he expressed his profound appreciation for his current state of health, stating, “I’m thankful for the way I feel, as I feel well, and I understand what it means to not feel well.
Whenever I face difficulty, trouble, or pain, I pause for a moment, recalling my past experiences, recognizing that what I’m going through currently might be challenging, but it pales in comparison to the hardships I’ve already overcome.

Tarek has been busy promoting the latest season of his HGTV series Flipping 101.
This week, he publicized the show on social media by posting numerous pictures from his press tour to his 1 million followers.
In New York City today, packed with discussions about Flipping 101! I’ll be dissecting deals and offering top-notch advice that you won’t want to miss this season. Don’t forget to watch it on HGTV this Thursday, April 3rd at 9 pm ET/PT. If you can’t catch it live, tune in the next day on Max! Who’s excited?” (Caption)
From 2009 through 2018, Flint El Moussa was wedded to Haack; the former couple now coparent two children – a 14-year-old daughter named Taylor and a 9-year-old son named Brayden.
He married Heather in 2021 and the couple welcomed two-year-old son Tristan in January 2023.
