Tana Ramsay, 51, regretfully reveals health condition born of ‘baking’ in the sun with husband Gordon, 59, for years – and insists she NEVER asks pal Victoria Beckham for freebies

Tana Ramsay has shared that she developed a skin condition after years of sun exposure while spending time outdoors with her husband, Gordon.

In an interview with The Times, along with her 24-year-old daughter Tilly, Ruth Langsford, 51, shared her beauty tips and routines. The mother-of-five also revealed she’s always cautioned her children about the importance of protecting their skin from damage.

She revealed that years of spending time in the sun with the chef have given her melasma, a common skin condition that causes brown or grey patches, typically on the face.

For a safer way to tan, Tana, who always wears SPF50 sunscreen (priced at £82), shared that she loves a foundation product created by her friend Victoria Beckham – though it’s currently out of stock.

When questioned about whether she obtains products by using special access, she firmly stated she prefers to wait for items to be available to the public and purchase them normally.

Tana strongly advises her daughter to avoid sun exposure, based on her own difficult experiences.

She’s now a dedicated fan of The Dayscript, a skincare formula designed by dermatologists that simplifies her morning routine by replacing her SPF and primer. She says she’s learned from past mistakes and won’t risk her skin’s health like she used to.

She described the moment she found out, explaining that she and her husband, Gordon, used to enjoy baking. Now, she struggles with melasma, a skin condition causing discoloration. She recalled a particularly upsetting experience at a pharmacy where a worker openly questioned the dark patches on her face, a moment she said she’ll never forget.

Melasma, sometimes called ‘chloasma’ or ‘pregnancy mask,’ is a common skin condition that causes brown or greyish patches to appear, typically on the face. It affects many adults.

She shared her admiration for her friend’s makeup line, The Foundation Drops with TFC8, which costs £104, but clarified she wouldn’t expect any complimentary products.

Tana explained that the item was currently unavailable. She didn’t want to ask Victoria for a complimentary one, and suggested waiting for it to be back in stock and purchasing it normally.

The Ramsay family has recently been getting a lot of attention because of their daughter Holly’s very public – and controversial – wedding to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.

Oh my god, you will NOT believe the drama at the wedding! It was supposed to be this perfect day, but honestly, it was totally ruined by this awful family fight. They actually wouldn’t let Adam’s mom, Caroline, in! Can you even imagine? It was heartbreaking, and it just cast this dark cloud over everything. I was so upset for her, and honestly, it just took away from the joy of the occasion. It was just…awful.

Caroline was heartbroken when she was uninvited to her son’s wedding in November, following a disagreement about not being included in her future daughter-in-law’s bachelorette party.

Holly recently shared how much it meant to her that her mother, Tana, read a meaningful bible verse during her wedding to Adam.

I’ve been following Gordon Ramsay for a while now, and his recent post about his daughter Holly’s husband, Adam, has really stirred things up. A lot of fans, myself included, are worried it might upset his own parents, and honestly, it’s a bit heartbreaking to think about.

Gordon posted a congratulatory message to Adam and his wife Holly, responding to a post shared by the Olympic athlete.

The post featured photos from the wedding festivities, and Holly shared that her siblings even gave a speech before the wedding.

Gordon left a sweet comment on the post, writing: ‘Beautiful ❤️ love you both Dad @hollyramsaypeaty @adamramsaypeaty.’
