As a lifestyle expert with extensive experience in understanding the intricacies of social media and its impact on people’s lives, I find Tammy Hembrow‘s recent prank to be ill-advised, at best. While humor is an essential part of human interaction, it must always be exercised with sensitivity and respect for others’ feelings, especially in sensitive areas like pregnancy and fertility issues.
Tammy Hembrow has been slammed after making an ‘insensitive pregnancy announcement’.
The fitness influencer, 30, took to TikTok to post a video where she showed a fake positive pregnancy test.
Later, the inventor of the TammyFit App unexpectedly showed what appeared to be a baby bump; however, it was actually her eight-year-old son, Wolf, hiding beneath her blouse.
The boy wiggled around and then she tussled his hair and had a laugh.
The influencer captioned the joke video, ‘Can’t wait to meet my little angel’.
While the clip has garnered over three million views, many people were not impressed.

People criticized the fitness instructor harshly in the comment section, calling the joke both thoughtless and hurtful, like a punch in the stomach.
One person wrote, ‘This remark is really insensitive, Tammy. Making jokes about pregnancy is not appropriate. It’s painful and offensive.’
One person wrote, “This is perceived as rude by many women,” while another commented, “Making jokes about pregnancy isn’t appropriate.

Another user who has fertility issues described the video as ‘hurtful.’
They expressed that they are presently facing difficulties with fertility, and such humor about the situation is painful, even if it’s meant to be a jest. As a result, they have decided to stop following those individuals.
But some other commenters were on Tammy’s side.
One individual commented, “Could the world loosen up a bit and share a laugh? It seems like the sensitivity patrol is everywhere.
Another said, ‘Seriously, have some resilience! She really shouldn’t have to consider every person out there with trauma related to different things.’
Tammy is set to wed Matt Zukowski this month, yet they’ve decided not to have any biological children together.
The Love Island Australia star, 28, has been quite open that he is infertile.
Matt openly acknowledged during a conversation on the Back to Reality podcast last year that he is not hiding or feeling ashamed about this matter. He made it clear that since the information will soon become public knowledge regarding his infertility, he sees no reason to keep it a secret, referring to the situation humorously as “shooting blanks.
Previously, Tammy was involved in two relationships. Her first commitment was to social media influencer Reece Hawkins, a partnership that produced their son, Wolf, and daughter, Saskia.
Back in November of 2021, I found myself becoming engaged to the talented restaurateur and ex-Ironman, Matt Poole, who’s also a fitness enthusiast like me. Unfortunately, our journey together came to an end in December of 2022. We are proud parents to our lovely two-year-old daughter, Posy.
