Okay, so I’ve been following Bailey Smith and Tammy Hembrow, and it looks like they’re definitely together, but it’s not the big, public announcement everyone thought it would be. It’s more of a soft launch – they haven’t gone all-out confirming things, if that makes sense!
The 25-year-old AFL player revealed on Instagram Monday that he and his 30-year-old fitness influencer girlfriend are now officially dating. They’re partnering with Tinder to promote the popular dating app as Valentine’s Day approaches.
‘I’m actually hard launching someone today,’ Smith told his followers in a cheeky video.
Tammy and I are teaming up this summer to help each other improve our Tinder profiles and get better results.
As a big fan, I have to say, the video really got people talking! Everyone’s been wondering about their relationship for months now, ever since they seemed to be dating and then not dating earlier this year, and this just added more fuel to the fire.
Smith added, ‘Exactly. As a friend, I’m in a great position to help you improve your dating life.’

‘Like any good athlete, I know there’s a few things I need to work on. Like my Tinder profile.’
He jokingly admitted he needed to improve his social media presence, promising fewer photos of himself without a shirt and more meaningful content.

This news follows their recent collaboration for a Tinder ad campaign leading up to Dating Sunday – January 4th – which is typically the most active day of the year for dating apps.
Earlier this year, Smith and Hembrow sparked dating rumors that captured public attention and led to weeks of speculation about their relationship.
Despite ongoing speculation about a romantic connection, the two have confirmed they’re starting 2026 as just friends.
As part of the partnership, the duo will act as each other’s dating coaches.
They’re planning to give genuine advice and update their Tinder profiles, which means getting rid of unnecessary shirtless pictures and highlighting what makes them interesting people.

The campaign taps into one of the biggest dating trends shaping next year known as Friendfluence.
Tinder’s latest report shows that friends play a big role in dating for many young singles – 42% say their friends affect who they choose to date. Looking ahead, over a third (37%) are planning to go on dates with friends, either as part of a group or as a double date.
Smith and Hembrow, as friends who are both dating, will offer advice on flirty conversation starters, spotting warning signs in potential partners, and crafting effective first messages. They’ll emphasize the importance of prioritizing friendship while dating, especially during busy times of the year.
