Weta Workshop Game Studio, the developer behind Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game, has revealed that the release date for the game has been pushed back yet again, moving it from March to July. This comes after an initial postponement from 2024.
The studio says, “A Hobbit feast worth savoring requires time, and so does ‘Tales of the Shire’! We’re taking some extra time to make sure each Hobbit, no matter their platform, can have an equally comfortable experience.
We aim to make this game a cozy and familiar experience, as if being embraced by Middle-earth itself. Regardless of where you play, you’ll find yourself feeling comfortable in The Shire. From the most intricate details, like the hairstyles of hobbits’ feet, to the softest and most inviting cakes, every aspect will be meticulously crafted to perfection.
The game titled “Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Experience” will officially debut on 29th July for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Netflix. In the meantime, prepare your table, shine your silverware, and get set for a banquet worthy of a Hobbit!
