Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game Has Been Delayed to Early 2025
As a lifelong fan of J.R.R Tolkien’s Middle Earth, the news of Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game has me absolutely beaming like a freshly baked second breakfast! Having grown up with Bilbo and Frodo in my heart, this game promises to immerse me into the idyllic world of Hobbits, which I’ve always found to be as comforting as a steaming mug of Alefian ale.
Wētā Workshop Game Studio, a developer known for creating games based on The Lord of the Rings, has recently announced that their Hobbit life simulation game, titled Tales of the Shire, will now debut earlier than expected, in the beginning of next year. Originally, it was scheduled to be released towards the end of 2024.
We’re thrilled at Weta Workshop to welcome you to the Shire, a serene part of J.R.R Tolkien’s universe, as shared in our recent announcement on Twitter/X. Our aim is to make your initial steps into Bywater an unforgettable experience that matches your expectations when entering Middle Earth.
As a result, Tales of the Shire is set to debut in early 2025. However, the exciting ‘Hobbit Day’ celebrations are scheduled for the 22nd of September. During this event, we will delve deeper into the game, exploring aspects such as cooking, fishing, gathering resources, decorating, trading, and more, with a focus on its engaging storyline.
An important update for all Hobbits.
