I’m so excited for the new series coming to AMC! John Lee Hancock’s Talamasca: The Secret Order is set to premiere just in time for Halloween, on October 26, 2025. As the third part of Anne Rice’s incredible ‘Immortal Universe’ – following Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches – it’s another adaptation of her hugely popular Vampire Chronicles novels, and I can’t wait to see how they bring this story to life!
This six-episode horror series features a fantastic international cast, including Australian actor Nicholas Denton as Guy Anatole, a bright college student chosen by Talamasca – a hidden group that investigates the paranormal. It’s a good idea to learn about the actors and their characters in Talamasca: The Secret Order before the show officially premieres.
Nicholas Denton Plays Guy Anatole

AMC
In the series Talamasca: The Secret Order, Australian actor Nicholas Denton stars as Guy Anatole. Guy is a bright law student about to finish college when he’s approached by the Talamasca, a secretive group that studies strange occurrences like witchcraft, vampires, and werewolves. Author Anne Rice calls them “psychic detectives,” and Guy must learn to use his own psychic abilities to help the Talamasca while still following the law and his own sense of right and wrong.
William Fichtner Plays Jasper

AMC
William Fichtner, known for his roles in “Heat” and “Mom,” plays Jasper in the new Anne Rice TV series. Jasper is a smart and charismatic American working for the Talamasca, and he’s become a leader at their London headquarters. He’s secretive about his goals, and his calm demeanor hides his true ambitions as Guy Anatole joins the Talamasca while working abroad.
Elizabeth McGovern Plays Helen

AMC
Award-winning actress Elizabeth McGovern, known for her roles in Downton Abbey and War of the Worlds, plays Helen, the head of the Talamasca’s New York branch. Having been a perceptive member of the secret Talamasca organization for a long time, Helen becomes concerned when a mysterious death occurs at the London branch. She then takes the initiative to bring in Guy Anatole, hoping his strong psychic abilities will confirm her belief that someone within the organization is betraying them.
Maisie Richardson-Sellers Plays Olive

AMC
Maisie Richardson-Sellers, known for her roles in The Originals and Wolf Hall, plays Olive in The Secret Order. Olive is a fascinating member of the Talamasca, a secret society, and works as an advisor to Guy Anatole in America. She’s skilled in spying and disguise, using these talents to investigate the supernatural world. Viewers familiar with Richardson-Sellers’ previous work can anticipate she’ll encounter many vampires and werewolves in this role.
Jason Schwartzman Plays Burton

AMC
Jason Schwartzman, known for his roles in films like Rushmore and Bored to Death, plays Burton in The Secret Order. Burton is a sophisticated vampire who lives in a luxurious Manhattan penthouse. Because Burton and Guy Anatole are both in New York, they’re likely to meet during the series. This marks Schwartzman’s first time appearing in a horror TV show, adding to his already impressive list of over 90 acting credits.
Eric Bogosian Plays Daniel Molloy

AMC
Award-winning actor and playwright Eric Bogosian, known for his roles in “Talk Radio” and “SubUrbia,” plays Daniel Molloy, a character who appears in both Anne Rice’s “Interview with the Vampire” and the new series “Talamasca.” Molloy is a cynical journalist in his seventies who suffers from Parkinson’s disease. He became a vampire in the second season of “Interview with the Vampire” after an encounter with Lestat, and that storyline will likely be important in the first season of “Talamasca.”
Céline Buckens Plays Doris

AMC
Céline Buckens, known for her roles in shows like Warrior and The Ex-Wife, will play the character of Doris in the upcoming series Talamasca: The Secret Order. Doris is a witch who lives on a houseboat with a group of other witches. Although what the witches are planning and the extent of Doris’s powers are a mystery, the Talamasca will be keeping a close watch on her.
