Take-Two Boss "Not Worried" About GTA 6 on the Xbox Series S

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I’ve seen the evolution of consoles from the humble beginnings of 8-bit systems to the powerful machines we have today. I’ve played games that were optimized for high-end hardware and those that managed to deliver an enjoyable experience even on less powerful systems.

As a gaming enthusiast, I can confidently say that I’m not fretting over how Grand Theft Auto VI will run on the less potent Xbox Series S. Strauss Zelnick, the big cheese at Take-Two Interactive, has made it clear that they’ve got this under control.

During a recent conference call discussing Take-Two’s financial performance, Zelnick discussed the current state of affairs (as reported by VGC). He fielded questions regarding Rockstar’s forthcoming crime drama and the smaller sibling console to the Xbox Series X.

Zelnick stated that we back the platforms where customers reside, as long as they remain relevant. We adapt our support to cater to varying technology levels.

Zelnick then went on to clarify:

Our labels perform exceptionally well in their task. I’m generally not concerned. To be honest, I’ve never fretted about the future direction of hardware. I’ve expressed this sentiment frequently throughout the years because, primarily, I don’t concern myself with matters beyond my influence.

Additionally, I am convinced that the public will attend when we offer exceptional content. To ensure this, it’s crucial that our presence is consistent across various online channels.

2025 marks the anticipated launch year for Grand Theft Auto VI, although an exact release date has not been disclosed as of now, only for it to be available on both console and personal computer platforms.
