Take the Black: Is The Rings of Power season 2 worth watching?

As a seasoned gamer and fantasy enthusiast with over two decades under my belt, I must say that this week’s Take the Black episode was nothing short of exhilarating! Having followed the genre scene since the days of dial-up internet, it’s always a treat to see new blood joining the fray. Natalie Zamora, hailing from the Fansided Entertainment realm and a horror movie aficionado, brought fresh perspectives and insights that enriched our discussions.

In this episode of Take the Black, we have another thrilling installment as our esteemed fantasy and sci-fi detectives from Winter Is Coming delve into the latest happenings in TV shows, films, and literature! This time around, our regular host Dan Selcke is away on a journey; filling in for him is Natalie Zamora, Fansided Entertainment’s leading figure and an avid horror enthusiast. Together, they explore a variety of engaging topics!

The main event of course was The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2, which premieres its first three episodes tomorrow. We’ve seen some of the season and have overall thoughts to share about it. Watch the podcast below, and join in the conversation in the comments:

The Rings of Power may be on the brink of premiering, but there’s plenty else on the way, too. We went over all the shows and movies coming out in the next few months that we’re excited for — horror fans in particular are going to want to watch this one, because Natalie has recommendations. We also talked about what we’re watching, including Alien: Romulus, the 2016 sci-fi movie Passengers which is currently charting on Prime Video, and Max’s high finance drama Industry, which stars Game of Thrones alum Kit Harington. Plus, Daniel’s about to crack into the new novel from fantasy author Andrea Stewart, The Gods Below.

Of course, no episode of “Take the Black” would be whole without a glance at Westeros. Last weekend, George R.R. Martin, the author of “A Song of Ice and Fire”, graced Bubonicon in New Mexico. He shared some intriguing insights that have since circulated online. Naturally, we couldn’t resist discussing it!
