Take That teen superfan from the 90s who gave out her phone number on the band’s new Netflix documentary is FOUND

The woman who gave Robbie Williams her phone number during Take That’s recent Netflix documentary has been identified.

This documentary series, told in three parts, follows the 35-year history of the boy band, including old footage from when they first became famous in the early 1990s.

One of the older videos shows Jemma, a 14-year-old girl, waiting in line at the HMV store in Chester, hoping to catch a glimpse of the band.

Take That were at the store for an album promotion, but the event drew such a large crowd that not everyone could get inside, and many fans had to wait outside.

You wouldn’t believe the dedication of some fans! I remember hearing about a woman named Jemma Louise Williamson who actually gave out her home phone number on camera, hoping Robbie Williams would give her a call. It just shows how much some people want to connect with their idols!

She confessed her attraction to Robbie, complimenting his physique and enthusiastically offering him her phone number, inviting him to contact her whenever he liked.

Thirty-four years after it was filmed, Jemma was surprised to see a younger version of herself in a documentary she was watching.

BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills Breakfast Show found the woman in the funny video, and she joined the show on Tuesday to talk about it.

I appeared in a Take That documentary on VHS back in the 90s, but I didn’t realize they’d used footage of me. Imagine my surprise when I saw myself on Netflix!

Robbie posted a video of himself watching the documentary on Instagram, and then attempted to call the number Jemma had shared, but the line was disconnected.

She was shocked that he mentioned her on Instagram. She joked that if she’d shared her area code, her dad would have been furious if their phone started ringing non-stop.

Jemma said if Robbie Williams were to sing a song for her now, she’d choose his 1998 hit, “She’s The One.”

Robbie Williams broke a long-standing record on Friday, achieving more Number One albums in the UK than any other artist, including The Beatles.

The singer’s latest album, BRITPOP, became his 16th to reach the top of the charts, making him the artist with more Number One albums in UK history than The Beatles.

Robbie shared his excitement about reaching this achievement, saying that ‘BRITPOP’ is the album he’s always envisioned creating. He expressed immense gratitude that it’s become his 16th number one album, and thanked his fans for their unwavering support, saying they’ve helped him achieve his dreams.

Robbie’s first Number One album as a solo artist came with his 1997 debut Life Thru a Lens.

He’s also famous for several other successful albums, including ‘I’ve Been Expecting You’ (1998), ‘Sing When You’re Winning’ (2000), ‘Swing When You’re Winning’ (2001), ‘Escapology’ (2002), ‘Greatest Hits’ (2004), ‘Intensive Care’ (2005), ‘Rudebox’ (2006), and ‘In and Out of Consciousness: Greatest Hits 1990-2010’ (2010).

Blur has released several albums, including ‘Take The Crown’ in 2012, ‘Swings Both Ways’ in 2013, ‘The Heavy Entertainment Show’ in 2016, ‘The Christmas Present’ in 2019, ‘XXV’ in 2022, and ‘Better Man (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)’ is planned for 2025, followed by ‘BRITPOP’ in 2026.
