
As a seasoned rhythm game enthusiast with a soft spot for drumming games and a deep-rooted affection for Taiko no Tatsujin, this announcement has sent a wave of excitement coursing through my veins! Growing up playing these games on handheld devices, I never imagined the day would come when I’d be able to experience the drum-tapping fun on my Xbox Series X|S or PC. The thought of exploring Omiko City, battling it out in Dondoko Town, and jamming to ‘Gurenge’, ‘Feel Special’, and ‘Racing into the Night’ has me practically bouncing off the walls!
Bandai Namco has confirmed that the rhythm game, Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival, will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in November. The game was originally planned to debut on the Nintendo Switch this year, but it will now also launch for these additional platforms following its initial release.
In the revamped edition of Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival, players can enjoy a high-performance version that supports up to 120 frames per second. Additionally, this updated game will feature unique collaborative songs and mini characters only available in this version. The main campaign takes you on an adventure through Omiko City.
With Don-chan and Kumo-kyun as your characters, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Story Mode, enjoy various multiplayer games in Taiko Land for up to four participants, or challenge others in drum battles within Dondoko Town. Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival offers a diverse soundtrack of 76 songs as well.
Among them are tunes like ‘Gurenge’, ‘Feel Special’, and ‘Racing into the Night’. By subscribing to the Taiko Music Pass, you’ll gain access to over 700 songs in total. Additionally, the Setlist Edition of the game comes packed with extra bonus tracks as well.

Apart from being sold individually, these items can also be obtained by pre-ordering the game. As a bonus for pre-orders, you’ll receive the ‘Namco Game Music Pack’, which includes five popular tracks from iconic Namco games such as Symphonic Valkyrie, R4: Ridge Racer Type 4, Klonoa 2 and others.
