T1 vs KT and HLE — Two must-win matches for T1 to qualify for MSI
The LCK 2025 tournament boasts a unique structure in its Road to MSI series. Instead of a traditional format, teams compete by being lined up in an elimination bracket system. T1 enters the competition just one match prior to the qualifying final. This setup leaves minimal room for errors.
Currently, Team T1 has a track record of tugging at their fans’ heartstrings. They barely managed to secure a spot in the League of Legends (LoL) World Championship 2024; they took advantage of the very last opportunity to be a part of this event. In the year 2025, T1 decided to sit out the Fist Stand, primarily due to the tournament’s format and their unstable play.
During the 2025 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) journey towards the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), Team T1 finds themselves neither in last place nor leading. They’re just two victories shy of securing their spot at MSI. The excitement for LoL esports enthusiasts is immense, given that we’re discussing none other than the reigning World Champions!
In the LCK 2025 tournament, T1’s initial hurdle will be KT Rolster. The victor of this T1 vs KT Rolster match will subsequently encounter Hanwha Life Esports, a team that demonstrated their skills on the international level but failed to defeat Gen.G in the upper final.
All necessary details regarding these games are provided: live streams, chosen champions, quick summaries, and final scores.

Match previews: LCK 2025 T1 vs KT Rolster
Team T1 had an overall solid performance throughout the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) season. During the initial stages, rounds 1 and 2, they suffered just two defeats – against Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports.
This isn’t exactly reassuring for T1’s supporters, since one of these squads safeguards the MSI 2025 qualification for Faker and his group. Yet, T1 is adept at bouncing back in high-pressure League of Legends esports scenarios.
On the other hand, T1 defeated KT Rolster with a confident 2:0.
KT Rolster encountered some difficulties when facing certain opponents during the regular season, ultimately falling to T1, DPlus KIA, Gen.G, and NS RedForce.
During their journey towards the MSI Playoffs, KT Rolster displayed an entirely new form. They managed to overcome their past challenges against Dplus KIA and NS RedForce in convincing 3-0 victories.
T1 can’t be carefree before facing even KT in their elimination match.
In the LCK 2025’s journey towards MSI, Hanwha Life Esports nearly matched T1’s performance, with only losses against Dplus KIA and Gen.G on their record.
Despite qualifying for the upper finals, Hanwha Life Esports required one more victory to attend the MSI event. Unfortunately, this didn’t come to pass as Gen.G claimed victory in that match. Regardless, the players of Hanwha Life Esports are undoubtedly eager to overpower their remaining opponents.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the top two teams from the LCK Road to MSI 2025 will also secure their places at the League of Legends Esports World Cup 2025 (EWC 2025) event. With T1, last year’s victor, already claiming their spot, it’s a race for the remaining teams to claim the second place and join us in this exciting competition! Mark your calendars from July 16 to July 20, as we gear up for an electrifying event happening right in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The LoL Mid-Season Invitational 2025 takes place in Vancouver, Canada from June 27 to July 12.
