T1 vs HLE at LCK Cup 2025 Playoffs: Can Hanwha Life Esports defeat T1 again?

In the LCK Summer 2024 tournament, the reigning League of Legends World Champions have been defeated by their rivals. Team T1 must approach this game with caution and determination!

Before the LoL Worlds 2024 competition, T1 faced off against Hanwha Life Esports and unfortunately lost, which placed them in the losers bracket. Eventually, T1 was knocked out of the tournament altogether. It turns out, Hanwha Life Esports was responsible for their elimination, as they went on to win the event a short while later.

2024’s League of Legends World Championship qualification proved challenging for T1 supporters, as the team faced difficulties in securing a spot. Yet, this difficult phase was brief.

Now, it’s time to make history or seek retribution! Teams T1 and HLE haven’t clashed during the LCK Cup 2025 Groups and Play-Ins. Their highly anticipated match kicks off the Playoffs stage. Both teams are driven by an immense desire to reach the pinnacle: only one position is up for grabs in their region for the upcoming international tournament, League of Legends First Stand 2025.

T1 vs HLE: Match recap

Here’s a quick rundown of the thrilling League of Legends esports contest between T1 and Hanwha Life Esports – don’t miss out on the details! Keep watching!

The current state of T1 and HLE

A lot has changed since LCK Summer 2024 and even LoL Worlds 2024.

  • T1 lost Zeus. Can you guess where this player is right now? He is in Hanwha Life Esports! Also, T1 replaced Gumayusi with Smash.
  • HLE lost Doran. It was an exchange of top laners — Doran is in T1 now.

At the LCK Cup 2025 tournament, teams T1 and HLE were placed together in a single group. To compete in the playoffs, they each had to face off in the Preliminary round.

In a highly confident manner, T1 outplayed their rivals, Nongshim RedForce, during one of the most decisive and dominant matches in the entire tournament’s history.

Hanwha Life Esports emerged victorious, yet their encounter with DRX was marked by uncertain instances. It seemed as though the team found it challenging to maintain their peak performance.

After the clash between T1 and HLE, there’s a possibility for both teams to regroup and try again. Only the champion of this tournament will secure a spot at First Stand 2025. For T1, maintaining their current form is crucial. As for HLE, they need to iron out any uncertainties to stand a chance at victory.

2025’s LoL First Stand tournament takes place between March 10th and March 16th. Only one team per major region is eligible for participation in this event. Qualifying tournaments are scheduled during a similar period as the LCK Cup 2025.
