T1 unveils champion picks for LoL Worlds 2024 skin line

2024 League of Legends Worlds Skins Champions have been unveiled by T1, and here is the complete roster that will be receiving these new skins.

Each year, the winning team of the League of Legends World Championship (LoL Worlds) gets to decide which characters will receive a special winner’s skin. Given that T1 has claimed victory an impressive five times, it’s interesting to consider which champions they’ll select this time for new skins.

Zeus

During an interview, Choi “Zeus” Woo-je disclosed his preferred champions as Gragas, Camille, and Ornn. Previously known as T1’s top laner, he ultimately picked Gnar instead, as suggested by League of Legends Leaks & News. Zeus competed in three matches with Gnar during the LoL Worlds 2024 tournament, boasting a win rate of 66.7%.

For the second time, Gnar will be awarded a Worlds Championship skin. Lee “CuVee” Seong-jin selected Gnar as his champion of choice following Samsung Galaxy’s victory at the League of Legends World Championships in 2017.

Oner

In 2023, Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun opted for Lee Sin as his League of Legends (LoL) Worlds skin choice, marking the second time this skin was assigned to Lee Sin. However, he expressed a growing interest in designing skins for either Vi or Xin Zhao. Eventually, he selected Vi. Oner achieved an impressive 83.3% win rate across six games played with Vi during the tournament. Moreover, Vi’s popularity surged following the success of Arcane.

Faker

Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, often referred to as the Unkillable Demon King, announced that he would grant his fans’ desire for a T1-themed skin for him. Out of several options, he decided on Yone as the character. Not only does this mean he will receive the standard skin, but he will also be awarded a Prestige version, given his role as MVP in the tournament.

In the course of three matches, Faker’s Yone boasted a remarkable win rate of 66.7%. This victory tally will mark his sixth Worlds skin, and the ninth if you include the Hall of Legends skins for both Ahri and LeBlanc.

Gumayusi

In a recent live broadcast, gamer Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyung expressed a split preference for champions Jhin and Varus. He confessed that he’d prefer to choose Jhin, but he currently owns two different skins for the champion, leaving him in a bit of a dilemma.

From another perspective, Varus didn’t receive a lot of focus, leading him to opt for playing as Varus. In the League of Legends Worlds 2024, Gumayusi played just one match with Varus, resulting in a perfect 100% win record.

Keria

In the upcoming update, Pyke is set to receive the final T1 skin. Back in 2023, Ryu “Keria” Min-seok mentioned that Renata Glasc might get a new skin, but his opinion has been split recently. This time, he’s torn between Renata and Pyke, who are both contenders for the new skin.

It appears that Renata won’t have Lucky on her main roster this season because she won’t receive a new skin like Keria did with Pyke. In the tournament, Keria played Pyke twice and had a perfect win record. His performances with Pyke were highly praised by players around the globe.

In the upcoming months, you’ll likely find detailed updates on the style and layout of the T1 skins. Historically, these are unveiled between September and October, so we’re looking at a slight wait until then.
